Well after being missing for over a year (apart from the odd visit) My Black Cat "Sunny" was fetched home yesterday. So I'll take it as a sign something imminent is about to happen Well it looks just like him anyway
@CasseJosue Excluded FM: Didier Digard will become the new coach of Ciel et Marine ⏳ To succeed Luka Elsner, about to join Stade de Reims, Le Havre has decided to bet on Didier Digard @footmercato
He was likely never in the running, but I am a bit disappointed in that, after I did a bit of a dive into his record I liked what I saw. Anyway, the frontrunner is Cifuentes and the hold up is the fee, which QPR are demanding way in excess of the £900,000 I've seen quoted on here, the delay is leaning in their favour as well, this will seriously mess up their planned season and they want to be well compensated for it.
I wasn’t suggesting we give him the keys to the city, just to give him a chance up to Xmas. Some on here are enthusiastic about foreign coaches who have never worked in the Championship but are very wary about one of our own. Okay, I admit it is a bridge too far… BUT, If Phillips does come good in the fairly near future, as a penance I request everyone on here who doesn’t want him to donate £5 to a charity. .
what if we have someone signed, but they forgot to announce it or waiting for preseason to start OR due to some contracting malarkey they cant be annouced til after 30th of June
If he can do a good job at a league club I think he comes into contention purely because of what he did in his playing career, that said, non-league and Sunderland are worlds apart, it would be malpractice to hire a non-league coach.
BREAKING FAKE NEWS: Graham Potter has turned down the chance of managing Leicester and has opted for the magnificent club that is Sunderland AFC. More to follow....
Its amazing how Farioli has come back to haunt us. Farioli goes to Ajax and frees up the role Nice Lens manager goes to Nice Still leaves Reims and goes to Lens Digard goes to Reims All would have been well if we'd just appointed Farioli in the first place But anyway, to complete the circle we need to appoint the old Ajax manager. Which is *checks notes* John van 't Schip
