Overall the first fixtures are relatively kind to the fat bald Rogers.

He needs to go well against the lower half teams and gain as many points as possible to set the narrative early.

The run in is alright too.

Team need to get as many points as possible….

if we’d have thought of that last year we might have won the league! Fingers crossed this manager understands that.

I meant to put my guess in here yesterday. It was - opener against a newly promoted team and Chelsea in the run in.

Doesn’t look to be any tricky months. Interesting that we have Chelsea then Arsenal next game, twice.

You'd think a man of klopp's experience would have got that radical concept across but he seemed to have stopped caring after February.

The fat baldy Rogers can of course try to lose all his games but it wouldn't really help him in terms of longevity, it would advance his pay off though.

Hard to believe we have got this type of fixture again on the opening day. A cup tie for the promoted team who will be playing rubbish by November

I don’t actually think it’s a conspiracy more of a where do they think potential shocks can be on first week
Defo chance of dropping points there imho on opening day

Even more too many games because of the new CL format.

No point in taking it up with me, I'm not making the point.
They broke it down to show how Arsenal (and others in the same boat) would have to play two games per week for most of the season, broken only by international breaks - which are no break for most of our players. But you asked for a summary, so my initial reply was as succinct as I could make it.

Just seemed like it was a surprise the way Z posted it. Everyone knows 2 more games.

At same time champ/L1/L2 all play 46 league games a season plus 2 cups that they enter at earlier stage. Not once have I heard people moan about fixture congestion there and fact they essentially play 2 games a week every week of the season.
