These ****s need locking up https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cp6643jd8nwo We get bitten, kicked, slapped, punched, spat at, have things thrown at us (books, chairs etc) and get called every name imaginable on a very regular basis... cos the kids have extreme difficulties and can't cope. They deserve a calm but clear response from us, not abuse. We sometimes have to protect them or others by holding them but would never use old bill methods cos they are designed to cause compliance by pain. We use safe handling techniques which we get a whole day's refresher training every year plus at least a half day training 6 months later. Every time we hold a child we have to write the details in a bound book with preprinted numbers. It's a legal document. It is illegal to tear pages out or change details written by other people. This is to protect the children and staff. The books have to be kept for approx 20 hrs in case a pupil makes a complaint once they become an adult. We have cameras all over our school, again to protect staff and children. The fact that the ****s weren't caught on camera (as they would have been in our school) is a disgrace. These kids are usually distressed, unhappy and have been excluded by at least one school, often two or three. They need kindness, honesty, consistency and fair sanctions not abuse. The utter ****s in the report are child abusers
We've spoken about this before RCL. Whilst I work in mainstream I've had my fair share of working with children with SEMH and supporting staff in how best to manage that. At no point ever have the thoughts, comments, or approach displayed by these ****s ever crossed my mind. It's just not something you even think about. You're also spot on about restraint. The thought is to protect the child from themselves as well as to protect others. I've been kicked, punched, bitten, spat at but it's in those moments you feel at your most professional. I can only take a guess that these ppl were wholly unsuited for working with children and no one gave a fck that they were.

Attacks on police officers, two churches and a synagogue in Russia's North Caucasus republic of Dagestan have left many people dead. Gunmen targeted the cities of Derbent and Makhachkala on the Orthodox festival of Pentecost. The dead include at least six police officers, a priest and a security guard. Four of the attackers are dead and police are hunting for others. The assailants have not been identified, but Dagestan has in the past been the scene of Islamist attacks. The churches and synagogue were set ablaze in Sunday's attacks. An Orthodox Church priest was killed in in Makhachkala, Dagestan's largest city. Footage posted on social media shows people wearing dark clothes shooting at police cars, before a convoy of emergency service vehicles arrive at the scene. In Derbent - home to an ancient Jewish community - gunmen attacked a synagogue and a church, which were then set on fire. An unofficial channel on the Telegram messaging app, Mash, said gunmen were barricaded in a building in Derbent. A police vehicle was attacked in the village of Sergokal. Police detained Magomed Omarov, head of the Sergokalinsky district near Makhachkala, following reports that two of his sons were among those who carried out Sunday's attacks. Dagestan, one of the poorest parts of Russia, is a predominantly Muslim republic. Between 2007 and 2017, a jihadist organisation called the Caucasus Emirate, and later the Islamic Emirate of the Caucasus, staged attacks in Dagestan and the neighbouring Russian republics of Chechnya, Ingushetia and Kabardino-Balkaria.
A security guard plotted to abduct, rape and murder TV personality Holly Willoughby to fulfil his "ultimate fantasy", a court heard. Gavin Plumb, 37, is alleged to have assembled a kit of tools for “highly sexualised” violence against the former This Morning presenter between 2021 and 2023. Mr Plumb, from Harlow, Essex, is on trial at Chelmsford Crown Court and denies soliciting murder, inciting kidnap and inciting rape. “It was not just the ramblings of a fantasist; the defendant had carefully planned what he would do,” prosecutor Alison Morgan KC said.
