Good Morning. It's Monday 17th June, and here are the latest headlines from Elland Road Leeds willing to negotiate with Spurs over Gray Leeds Utd journalist Conor McGilligan has intimated that Leeds are willing to sit down and negotiate with Spurs regarding the sale of Archie Gray, but only if they are willing to participate in a swap deal, and it's not Joe Rodon! According to the Manchester Evening Post reporter, Daniel Farke is an admirer of versatile midfielder Oliver Skipp, who was largely a squad player last season, starting just five games. The 23yo operates as a defensive midfielder, and is known for his ability to break up play and win the ball, similar to Ilia Gruev, who Leeds have already rejected offers for over the past several weeks. Spurs value Skipp at around £15m, which should mean Leeds should come out of the deal at least £20m richer. He came through the Spurs academy, and represented England at U16, U17, U18 and U21 level. Last season was supposed to be his breakthrough season, but it never materialised! Leeds are of the mindset that they want sell players before splashing out too much this Summer, but the lack of firm interest (so far) in Willy Gnonto and Crysencio Summerville may force Leeds to part with their 18yo prodigy. According to McGilligan, Leeds have perhaps lost some interest in Rodon due to his £12m - £15m price tag, and Premier League attention from the three promoted clubs from the Championship last season. please log in to view this image Could Leeds revive their interest in Aarons Leeds could revive their interest in Max Aarons, after a season to forget at the Vitality Stadium. The 24yo, who played for four years under Daniel Farke at Norwich came desperately close to joining the Whites last August, but walked out of his Thorp Arch medical, after getting a call saying the Cherries were after him. Hours later Bournemouth wrapped up his £12m sale, leaving Leeds shell-shocked, and the Elland Road faithfuls enraged. The former England U21 International never found his form, and gradually fell down the pecking order. Since the turn of the year, he has only made eight appearances, many as substitute Bournemouth have now decided to cut their losses, and make him available for transfer. Leeds need a right-back but will the gaffer forgive him. If anyone is to get the max out of Aarons (see what I did there), its going to be Farke! please log in to view this image Whites will need to gazump Clarets to land Midfield Ace Various media outlets suggest Leeds will fight it out with Burnley for the services of Sky Blues Midfielder Callum O'Hare, who is out of contract this Summer. The 26yo attacking midfielder has attracted the attention of many Championship clubs (and moderate interest from Southampton), but his destination looks set to be determined by either Leeds or Burnley - and which one can offer the former Aston Villa rookie the most attractive deal. Leeds have already recalled Brenden Aaronson back from his loan spell with Hertha Berlin, but with mounting interest in Archie Gray and Ilia Gruev, Leeds could definitely do with someone of O'Hare's experience. please log in to view this image
Morning all. Important advice here for you drunken feckers during euros. Specially Chesh https://x.com/paddypower/status/1802354792083149151?s=46&t=xSZiK2Vhq9NQTsfPGBk7mQ
What's the view on retaining Piroe - can he develop? I'm still not sure on him, whether we were sold a pup or the formation doesn't suit him as he has flashes of what he could do before he joined us.
Offload Bamford before him. Costing us more and rarely available. Happy enough to see Piroe go after that but certainly not instead of
Morning all If we sell Gray it just gives my point that the 49ers only care about money and not the future development of the team more credence and following on from that I'd expect to see the likes of Joseph, Summerville and Gnonto being sold on as we'd make a fairly large profit off those 4. Regarding Aaron I think Southampton are leading the race for him but I suspect he'd get more game time with us however we're supposedly trying to get Roberts back but Burnley don't want to sell to a promotion rival. O'Hare for a free seems like good business but I don't see the logic in it as Aaronson is back in the fold. however from what i read over the weekend we are in pole position for his signature.
I don't know how much credence there is to this but there was talk of Fulham looking at Bamford I'm suspecting if true then he'll be a back up option
My hope is the Joseph is given lots of game time, to see what he brings to the team, and to accelerate his development. I still feel we need another striker, CB, LB as an absolute minimum. Obviously some of the rats might provide cover in those areas, I’m thinking particularly Wober. However I don’t want any of them back, but if we’re stuck with them - he’s the pick of the bunch.
It never ceases to amaze the players that some clubs will sign. Leeds are a prime example of signing sick notes which we as fans would say no to.
I suppose people have seen these but I got a Leeds Mish mash illustration in a frame for fathers day, really good depiction of events from our past.....and in the bottom right hand corner is non only than our super fan Heidi with the trademark Leeds patches jeans circa 70's.... already up on the wall
He is age on his side, he had two great seasons with Swansea and still did okay for us, I don't think our formation/style of play suit him. I would keep for now because if Farke gets off to a poor start we will be dumping him and a new coach might get the best out of him
