Yeah he hasn't been as effective but I think that's with England sitting back for some reason.

Need to strengthen midfield up for me. Maybe Gordon on the left and either Wharton or Mainoo in the middle and someone up front. Kane just hasn't been in this game

Makes no sense to me why he’d rather play Trent in the middle than just going with Wharton as the 6 and Rice as the 8. Wharton is inexperienced but he’s still better in the middle than Trent.

We need to inject some fresh energy. Serbia have improved second half and we haven't matched them. Don't mind Gordon or Gallagher coming on.

How is ****ing Foden not the first to be hooked? He's done absolutely nothing yet again.

You could say the same about Kane tbh. I wonder if he's still carrying a knock from the Champions League

Creativity. That's what Trent brings that no other player in midfield does. Whether that's enough is a matter of opinion, but Rice and Wharton would be exactly the kind of defensive pairing that so many England fans don't want.

Fair one mate, I like Mainoo too just wasn’t sure if he played as the 6 for United or not. Either way as you say both more effective in there than Trent.

That's been Kane's job tonight, to be fair to him.

If he was sat on the halfway line we'd all be raging.

Some will massively disagree but i just dint think foden n kane can play together. So many times tonight kane is dropping into the space where foden normally goes, kane needs players to stretch the field for him to be at his most effective. Foden doesnt stretch the game as he wants the ball to feet, but he is brilliant at finding space in front of an opponents defence when at city - kane is taking that space n its crowding both out

Playing in a position he’s not played this season. Saka been anonymous second half too, either could be off. Foden one if the best in the world under Pep, yet anonymous here, can’t be coincidence

What’s he created though? He’s sitting deep and not really doing anything, your 8 should be picking the ball up and driving at players pushing the team forward. I’ve seen Bellingham do more defensively than him too. All he can do is play a 50 yard raker occasionally. We have Foden and trippier on the pitch for set pieces so there’s not even an argument for that.
