Went to my local co-op for half time refreshments and there he was. Not that tall but built like the proverbial. Spoke to him outside and thanked him for coming to Sunderland and shook the great man's hand!

Nice...what did you do with the hand afterwards if you don't mind?

haha did it take you long to get ur hand fixed back onto your arm after you shook hands with his almighty grip?

Seriously though, always good to make the Rock feel welcome in Sunderland by our fans, let him know Sunderland loves him

Tell the truth lads he had a real gentle handshake. Seemed quite shy but it was great to meet him. Tell you what, he ain't that tall! I'm only 5'9" in old money and he was not towering above me. Is this a problem at set pieces? Mind you, he was in sandals (no socks), perhaps he's settling to the weather.

Pont...was just having a bit of fun, no offense. Love Big John. But, maybe not so big though eh? Still love the guy, how many 5'10" CDs control their man like John. But, you may be right about the set pieces. Maybe he and Turner are a good pairing, some height to go with his strength.

None taken mate. Was wondering about some games when a back three of Bramble, Mensah and Turner would be a workable option. I think really good wing backs are needed for that and I don't think we have them.
