Has anyone got the android calendar for England fixtures? I thought I had it but it's not updated my Google calendar
It's been so funny listening to the pundits and commentators struggling when talking about the team that just scored. Because it's the BBC they've obviously been coached about what to call the 'Dutch'. In my experience it doesn't matter if you call them Dutch or refer to the country as Holland or the Netherlands ... ... one of them will take offence. Apparently we're the only country that calls them Dutch, which some don't like because 'it's German'. It appears there's also two Hollands, a North and a South which some of them see as a Korea situation. And then there's those in 'Holland' who don't want to be lumped into the Netherlands and find it all too 'Flemish'... ... none of these terms are as bad as 'German-lite' which seems to unite them all against anyone saying it To be fair, despite that we had a great time with them at the World Cup in Germany, I still have a 'Can I have my Dad's bike back?' T-shirt one gave me.
I'd rather have the wimmin TBH, I never listen to the half time stuff ... ... I don't need anyone to explain how to watch a football match. "And I don't know if anyone noticed but that shot from Gakpo takes a deflection ..... "
Oh Dear Oh Dear.... Hear we go again with THE female commentator sounds... I'm sorry, but I just cannot enjoy the sound, or the poor terminology used to describe a passage of play. First of all, it sounds like Joe Pesquale on helium...or a 7 year old child. And, why use stupid terminology like - "What a gorgeous effort" "The winning zone" "He obtains an advance chance" When she gets excited, she sounds like she is singing in an opera.... FFS man !!! So sorry guys.....but it does not relay anything much to the atmosphere. It does not bring or offer any excitement gravitas whatsoever. I'm sorry if that offends anyone, but at halftime, the proffessional pundits in the studio, were, are 100% spot on with their analysis....why? Because they are ex pros, and seasoned presenters with a wealth of football knowledge and history of the game.....Simples!. There's nothing wrong having female guests on a male football show, but why does it have to be, everytime? Yes, everytime !......Every match in this Euro's will have a female pundit either in the studio, in the comantry box, or, pitch-side... Why does equality have to show it's face all the f*ckin' time?.... Sorry guys
I take it that you cannot read.....or understand my reasonings....or my preferece. Take on board my usage of the words, "All the f*ckin time" Cheers
so far the best game, poland getting plenty of the ball but struggling to do anything with it..the 'dutcherflandlands' seem to be just biding their time
I'd have to disagree there mate, the female voice can be delicately beautiful at the right time ... ... on the flip side I wouldn't want Martin Keown tackling this
I’m with you 100%, all of the commentary on both bbc and itv has been woeful, Townsend is ****e, mccoist is permanently pissed and gets unnecessary over use of the English language messed up constantly, jenas is as obvious as an incoming comet and this shrieking idiot should just shut the **** up, as for Moyes ffs! As much as Jill Scott is a mackem she’s embarrassing aswel, keep women away from the mens game for crying out loud
Fell asleep and missed the second half of the Dutch game ffs. Woke up in time for rhe next one though
Love Sesko up front for Slovenia, thought he'd end up in the PL this summer but signed a new deal at Leipzig.
Commentary is and has always been ****e. I'm not having those that think Motty or Davies were a great experience either. It's half what you can see with your eyes and half waffle/filler. There's never been commentary that made a game better. Even Kenneth Wolstenholme ffs. The greatest moment in English football history and instead of describing the play, he's talking about fans being on the pitch! Imagine someone doing that now, there'd be a trial by social media and they'd never hear the end of it.
