Did I hear correctly in his interview that his son is in the academy?

He's still one of my favourite ever Saints players and I forgave him and understood his move a long time ago.
What he did on the pitch for Saints was spectacular and even Rickie would admit that he wouldn't have scored as many as he did without Adam, they were just mesmerising together.
Ultimately you have to be a bit selfish to achieve things in football and he did what was best for his career after giving the club many years of service and success, he's not the first and he certainly won't be the last.
I welcome him back and i'm sure that he still has feelings for the club as he will have for all of his clubs.

Wonder if we'll see a few players trying the Cruyff turn next season...

I think he could be good for Edozie.

"He plays on the left, he plays on the right Samuel Edozie makes Lallana look ****e"

Surely a job waiting for him at Staplewood, his mate Surman is already there.

Absolutely **** all from a football perspective. Might be a good influence in the dressing room on how to get a move away if anyone has a good season though

I saw Lallana play a few times for Brighton last year and he looked pretty good. I imagine he is on a low wage and there is some agreement around moving into coaching.

Probably the conduit to Liverpool - after all they are 'the team'.

that’s a bit harsh. He did no more than most us would do. When an opportunity comes knocking that offers more money, chance of success, he jumped at the chance. Nothing wrong in that.
What I hate is when players kiss the badge. What a load of crap.

Football is more than a job, teams are more than colleagues so I never really get why people try and equate it with moving from working at sainsburys to working at waitrose. I understand why players move these days but I do miss the era of club players.

Its also not the leaving that pissed off Saints fans. We all know that's going to happen.

But there's a right way and a wrong way to do it, and frankly, I'd have expected better from our (at the time) captain and academy poster boy.

I disagree. That all changed when teams can have unlimited foreign players. I’ve worked in great teams at work where it gets diminished because people move on or a new manager starts. Nothing is forever and most players are trying to make hay whilst the sunshine’s
