Prehab and Bob have always seemed to be on the same wavelength and Bob said last night that the club is not up for sale for at least 18 months, so that’s got me doubting if it’s a sale Prehab is on about. Speaking leaving maybe…
As fans, we are quick to recognise that certain players are good enough for a particular level, but have a ceiling on how far up the tree they can go. It should be the same with managers and DOF's. Given how poor Speakmans recruitment has been since we were promoted, it may be time for us and the club to realise that he has reached his ceiling and that it is time to move on.
Alan who quoted himself about 5 times without adding to the conversation, seems to be a new quirk of the site that you can quote someone but it sometimes doesn't show their comment above your response, leaving you looking like you're talking in riddles.
I think he had a good window just after promotion tbf., But I do agree. Was thinking about this the other day, what is a good length of time for a Sporting Director? If they are doing an outstanding job each year then you keep them of course, but do they go stale after a certain amount of time? I think as a collective, over 3+ years, Speakman has been a success overall, but some new ideas might be what is needed to take us to the next level. I think 4 years is a good amount of time for a Sporting Director to come in, set up and implement their project and then the club can revaluate and look to upgrade. I think we're at that point, unless of course this is fully KLD's strategy.
But Will Still promised to sign then reneged. KLD and KS can't be held accountable for that. I can understand concerns from fans but for fook sake, calling for Speakman and Dreyfus to leave before knowing or seeing an outcome is a fooking joke.
And without any replacement plan, ffs if he went let’s hope we have some other benefactor with £9m a year to piss away.
He was all but signed then pulled out. Are you saying you know circumstances that made him pull out ? Not having a go mate. I'm asking out of interest and I'll take your word
