Didn’t we have some kind of worm issue once, they blamed the poor state of the pitch on the wrong type of worm. All the sub soil was removed then too, think that was more recent than Brucey years
I'm no expert but I can't imagine a new pitch would bind very well with sand. I suppose they know what they're doing though.
Isn't the new pitch interwoven with millions of plastic blades to make it more resilient? I'm sure there was an article about the company laying it talking about it but I can't find it now.
The old pitch was supposed to have plastic blades in it. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
The old pitch had exceeded it's life expectancy according to Tan so maybe all the plastic bits had worn out. As you may have guessed I no grass expert. Unless we're smoking it.
Went on the pitch when we got promoted vs Cardiff in 2013. You could see that the pitch had some sort of lattice in it, probably plastic.
If you recall, we had a 16 minute wait before realising we had achieved promotion as a result of Leeds beating Watford, followed by mass celebrations. There were quite a few on the pitch at the end. Hull City 2-2 Cardiff - BBC Sport Notice Liam Rosenior in the celebrations
If it doesn't look immaculate in late July some fecker wants sacking. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
