I've seen his record, it's very good for such a young guy. Even got thrust into the Prem at a really early age this season, and did well considering how dire the Burnley team was.
Lol, tbf it's quite different from the days of Keegan being told Modric wasn't Prem standard and being lumped with Nacho Gonzales.
Agree. No denying that in all likelihood EH has an input. None of us know to what degree. But in today's football I would be extremely surprised if it wasn't a "team" effort. To many assumptions are made on here without any fact to back them up but with opinions oft repeated being given as if factual.
For example. I know for an absolute fact that Howe was responsible for the Trippier signing. I also know for a fact that Hall was an Ashworth signing. One is true the other is false.

https://www.newcastleunited.com/en/news/newcastle-united-confirm-lloyd-kelly-to-join-magpies NUFC OFFICIAL Newcastle sign former Bournemouth defender Kelly Kelly becomes the club’s first arrival of the summer transfer window after putting pen to paper on a long-term deal and will wear the number 25 shirt. The former England Under-21s international, who can play centrally or on the left of defence, featured 23 times in the Premier League last season as the Cherries secured a 12th-place finish. Commenting on his move to Tyneside, Kelly said: “It's amazing to be coming here. I know how big the club is and how much it means to all the fans, and I just want to hit the ground running and get to work. “It’s a big move for myself and the family - of course being down south is a bit different - but I think the city of Newcastle is amazing, with the contrast between city life and the countryside. “It wasn't a hard decision for me to come here. Working with the gaffer previously, I know what he wants from his players and how he wants his players to play, and I think with what I can bring it just makes sense. I just can't wait to get started.” Head coach Eddie Howe said: “I’m really pleased to have secured Lloyd’s signature. He’s a player who’s proven himself at Premier League level and I’m certain he’ll be a great addition as we prepare for the new season. “Lloyd is a player I’ve admired since the early stages of his career. Alongside his undoubted defensive ability, he brings versatility and leadership qualities that I believe will make him a great fit within our squad and somebody our supporters will quickly take to. “He has plenty of Premier League experience already under his belt, yet Lloyd’s at an age where he can still develop. He has a lot of potential and I’m really looking forward to working with him again.” Newcastle United fans can purchase the new 2024-25 home shirt with ‘Kelly 25’ on the back, either by visiting the store at St. James’ Park or online at https://shop.newcastleunited.com/ https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/ce99lv0j4jyo _______________________________________________________________________ BBC Newcastle sign former Bournemouth defender Kelly please log in to view this image
I’d be surprised if Bruno decides to move this month - he and his family are loving life up here. But if the club gets a huge bid which hits the release clause and it’s accepted, I’d be even further surprised if he chooses to go Man City. With 115 charges hanging over them with disastrous consequences possible - relegation, axing from the Champions League and cup forfeits being real threats - then for top players like Bruno to risk all those things I’m hoping is unlikely. To me Bruno is family, and you can’t lose family. Having said that, anything’s possible.
Uninspiring and English. Not saying that’s all we will or have signed, just that’s the rumours thus far. Tosin, Kelly, DCL, Trafford, Abraham.
Right, someone give me a verdict. Good signing or no? I give all the new ones a fair chance, he's a good age.
Man City linked with 100m bruno bid. Personally, I think Man City could do better. 2nd best team in the world.
