http://www.premierleague.com/page/FormGuide Makes for lovely viewing I assume we're top on goal difference, though I wouldn't have guessed that as we haven't 'hammered' anyone in that particular run of the last six. Win on Saturday and we're at least two points clear!
Hopefully soon to be only 4 points off the top spot(who would have thought it).Great to be a Spurs fan atm.Long may it continue.
It doesn't go on goal difference. If you're level in the last 6 games with another team it goes by most recent results. As we won our last game and both Arsenal and City drew it, we are top.
IF, and it is an IF, not a formality, but IF we beat Bolton we'll be clear leaders in the Form guide. Furthermore we will be within range of the league leaders in the actual table, so we will then be genuine title contenders. It will simply be a fact at that stage. But it is an IF, us beating Bolton.
I think SAF was right when asked if he was worried that City were 5 points ahead, he replied, "can you save that question till April".
The actual exchange was Q: "At what stage do you start worrying about the points gap to Man City" A: "April"
Chelsea were ahead last season and were caught so I'm not concerned. MF is less than complimentary about our performance on Saturday saying Ade made hard work of the penalty etc and the first half we were asleep. Still things to do before we win the PL imo.
Who's MF - Martin Fowler from Eastenders. Harry's post match said it all, "I sorted a few things that were wrong in the dressing room at HT!"...I bet he did! He admitted WBA were better overall 1st half, but 2nd half I think we edged it by being the clinical (and wasteful I must add!) of the 2 teams. Harry has done this a lot I've noticed, his corrections at, or after HT in matches we've not started well, have more often than not done the trick. It was noted on MOTD how many chances we're creating, there's a team out there we haven't played yet who are going to get battered when we have one those days when they all 'go in'. Who would we like it to be more than any?, personally at this moment in time, I wouldn't wish it on anyone else but Chelsea.
GHoddle,i receive by Email "Spurs news and Rumours" and MF is somebody who writes about Spurs and that's all I know. He seems very down to earth and knows a fair bit. I have to agree that he's right about us on Saturday when he said we were a bit lucky at times. I don't read stats, ball in the net is the stat which counts.
Ok Wandering Yid tell me about him. By your reaction it seems you think he is a bit of a mother f*%$!. So don't you like him or is he not a he but an agency or something else?
Ah yeah, 'that MF' as has been said I mean, really TMT, I don't think that's much of a source to quote as an authority do you, and without explaining who MF is. Of course we were a bit lucky at times, that's normal for football, but overall we deserved our win, there was no luck about it. We had more possession, created more chances and had more corners, not bad for an away team? So, please relay that onto the sage that is 'MF'
