I don't feel the need to have to write it on every thread you post on, because unfortunately that would be most threads. While I agree that having an account on twitter leaves you open to abuse, it is actually an illegal act to abuse someone racially. But I guess someone with your opinions doesn't actually understand that. You can say whatever the **** you want to someone, but to bring race into it just shows a mentality of someone who just doesn't know how to converse in a modern society and belongs in a cave. So for you to slag off a player, of the team you supposedly support, because he is reporting a race crime just shows that my comment is not only fair but quiet understated. And due to the fact you stand alone in your opinions on this thread, I guess I'm not the only person to share my view of you as a person. Constructive enough for you, Prick!

The point I'm making is simple Willy. When a Footballer opens a Twitter account and then goes mad when he gets an abusive message (which given the nature of the Internet would probably take about 5 minutes) leaves me pondering the question "What did you expect"? Perhaps hitting the delete button on that moron's message would have been the more prudent thing to do. You're the one that keeps bringing race into it. To me abuse is abuse and its forever happening on the Internet (eg. Lone Ranger above) and the people involved in it are obviously a little bit thick, but getting all hot and bothered about what some clown that's never met you says is wasting energy. I think very little of bullies and racists are a rung below them again so we're all agreed on that front. But people should just use their Noggin's now and again.
Once again, you're missing the whole point, obviously deliberately. The message was racist. I'm not bringing race into it, because race IS it, you twat. He's perfectly entitled to 'get mad' when some neandertal throws racist abuse at him. And yet you're suggesting that he has no right to defend himself, or to report illegal acts when directed at him. That he should just 'hit delete' and forget it. Abuse is abuse, sure. But simply abusing someone isn't illegal. Racist abuse is racist abuse, and is illegal, and so should never be tolerated and always be reported. Just because the racist hides behind a twitter account like the coward he is instead of saying it to his face, does that make the offense he gives any less? Of course it doesn't (there you go, a little point there for you to disagree with.)

I've not been reduced to calling you names, because your views on it are common and I've heard it from too many others who appear to be of sound mind. Yet, my opinion is that people with your view need to be educated to the extent where you realise that your opinion is helping those with much more extreme views. There are far too many people out there like you and it frustrates me. You need to listen to what WLW and others have said as it was very well put, and ignore the name calling....And I honestly don't mean to sound condescending.
Indeed mate. I've certainly taken what you've said on board as you put it persuasively and amicably. And no, you've not been condescending throughout. I do "get" the argument completely. Its about racism and there should be zero tolerance, I get it! My angle on it has been slightly different and despite what Lone said above, there's posters on this thread who are sympathetic to my views. Anyway, its done now and we best let it lie.
