This whole story about contract talks breaking down has been blown well out of proportion. He’s paused talks because we don’t even have a head coach yet, Rigg has done the same.
Could the PR be suffering if Speakman has been removed? Was it not Speakman who banged the drum of "long term planning"? Maybe he's been found out in more ways than one.
The key words in the KLD update were hope and imminently, people forgot about the former because they want the latter so much.
Speakman should have absolutely nothing to do with PR. It's a corporate function rather than a football function. Along with marketing etc it would likely fall under Bruce. Good news given he seems really ****ing on the ball.
Why would it make you feel sad and depressed. The club is in a lot better place than the SD days, people are making out that the club is a mess, all we need is a manager and place, which granted is taking longer than expected, but things aren't that bad
I don't see anything wrong with that statement. "We are entering the final stages of the recruitment process" People just twisting because they can.
If anybody could be arsed. We could probably trace back the original links to everyone of those candidates and they would've been started via Nixon or hearsay and escalated from there. Nobody knows who it is going to be, the club keep their cards that close to them I doubt we'll know until a few hours until it's announced. I said the other day someone was due over from Germany yesterday. It could've been Maric (as stated in today's Northern echo we still hold an interest) but that would be complete guesswork on my part. Which is exactly what these journalists are doing, guessing .
Why on earth are they reporting that he said ‘an appointment is imminent’?! It’s completely false and only there to stoke the fires of discontent. He didn’t even use the word ‘imminent’ so they are even wrong having that as the only word in quotation marks.
I love how we've been saying tommorow and next week at the latest for weeks now and it still hasn't came
