He's clearly pissed away all the money he raised to reverse the Brexit referendum.

This election is a massive open goal for labour . However, they keep making mistakes like :

    tories release manifesto

starmer slags it off as corbynesque

a man who he served under in shadow cabinet

Starmer was part of process of creating the 2019 manifesto

    He’s giving the Tories fuel.

I’m sure he could have attacked it without cross referencing his party.

I get his point , he saw the party needing change to not be corbynesque but he’s handled it poorly.

If only the masses hadn’t over reacted to Corbyn. A much better leader than starmer imo .

I think he's been caught by surprise, and is nervous at actually having to deliver, rather than just being critical from the sidelines, even on measures he voted in favour of.

As you say, this must be the easiest election to win ever, and he seems to be making hard work of it. That doesn't bode well for their term in office, especially as it looks like they're going to have a very weak opposition bench to keep them honest.

The Civil Service will already have their plan of attack ready to push things in the direction they want, as they'll smell the weakness and naivety a mile off. They've a whole new set of scapegoats to play with.

Corbyn is a decent pied piper and has a long career of complaining from the sidelines without ever having an impact on anything. Not much of a leader IMO. Too much like boring hard work.

Anyway I’m reliably informed Starmer has been caught by surprise he might be PM after months and months of having a massive lead in the polls so there you go. Mystery solved.
