Beale was hated at Rangers yet they’ve brought in Clement who’s done no better. Hasn’t won a single game against Celtic in about 4 attempts this season. Rosenior might be a nicer bloke to work with, he seems like a decent man manager but Beale had a much better win rate at QPR than Rosenior did with Hull, and practically the same with Sunderland as Roseniors Hull and we categorise his stay here as ****e. That Hull squad was much better than both ours and QPR’s too. Not trying to cause any drama just wondering what people are basing their opinion off other than seeing a video of a team talk on twitter after they beat Huddersfield 1-0.
Well, as long as it’s not an extensive poll of data regarding footballing statistics because if it is then Rosenior is ****e.
I get that, but you could also argue Hull had the much better squad. Rosenior took over for about 26 games of the 22/23 season and won 8. So that’s about a 30% win rate compared to Beales 40% in 22.
On what basis though? Because statistically he’s not. I’m just playing devils advocate because I’ve literally seen the same **** with Still, Wicky, Jansen and now Rosenior. As soon as people think we’re close to appointing them they watch a video and decide they’re the next Pep.
Beale has an okay win rate because of the very short time he was at QPR, he also is a terrible man manager, rosenior is noted to be great at that. Rosenior also took Hull from 21st to 7th in a year and a half, he's 39 and got a lot of time to get better and improve. People saying THAT hull squad, he had a few decent loans, also suffered with injuries too. It's also argued by hull fans that the January signings arguably caused an unbalance and affected their style of play that was winning them games.
Again. Not a fair comparison. Comparing managerial records is a dangerous business because it's so nuanced in terms of squad ability, quality of the league, quality of the opposition you play in that specific time line. As long as Rosenior can manage the dressing room then he's immediately a mile ahead of Beale
I never said that, I’d never boo our own players or staff. Whoever it is will get my full support regardless of whether I think we’ll have a good season or not. I’ve dragged myself down to Plymouth and Portsmouth in L1 to watch this ****e Just trying to have an adult conversation mate asking a genuine question
Correct. They lost their best player to injury for a while and I think they had at least 1 influential player at AFCON Edit: Philogene missed 12 games with injury in Dec/Jan then Seri & Traoré were at AfCon
He took Hull from 21st to 15th that year, winning just 8 games in the remainder of the season. That same Hull team were 2nd before a run of 4 defeats when they sacked their manager and left a caretaker in charge for a month. A single win would’ve taken them back up to 15th. It’s hardly an improvement. Then they spent a fortune and ultimately failed because they play safe boring football and draw far too many games.
