They're 1 billion in debt... I don't believe there's all of a sudden a queue to buy them that resembles the start of the great North run! There is more likely very little interest, maybe one or two and they're doing the old 'we've got loads of interest technique' trying to draw attention and to play the few that are interested into bidding more.

Agreed. Read some stuff about us having scouts in various places. Kelly, Trafford two most likely deals and constant rumours around relegated and championship players. Long way to go but the excitement and glamour following the takeover has waned considerably.

I felt a bit like that with Chris Wood and also Barnes tbh . I'm willing to give him time (injury free) to prove me wrong though.

 

Dutch international class.. similar status to Gordon before we bought him

 

Wood served a purpose and we moved him on for pretty much the same money.

 

Barnes is a numbers man. He gets goals and assists, end of.

 

Still felt like it at the time... And during most of his spell with us. Would be dishonest of me to claim otherwise
