Bunch of dickheads using what looks like a self storage facility. Not only do they come with 24/7 surveillance cameras to track your every move, the cops have been all over them places like a rash for years. Oh well at least they have plenty of time to ponder over their own stupidity.
The Don of the right-wing Mafia found guilty on all 34 counts. Thank God for that... ... Watch him get a slap on the wrist for it and then spend his next presidency term trying to get every member of the jury thrown in jail.
My son, 20, just got a jury duty summons. I asked him what he thought about that and he said "I'm sure it will be boring because I'll know if they're guilty or not in the first five minutes and will have to just sit there until they finish." I wish they would raise the age of active jury duty to 25 if that's how 20 year old boys think.
tbf that’s how I think 40’s here would have it solved in 5 minutes tbh I take even less on here, just need to watch footage or look at the face of the accused and bam..I will tell you who’s guilty not difficult really tbh
Watched a documentary about Andrew Malkinson last night who was wrongly convicted of rape and battering someone in 2003. You think this **** happens until you hear the full story. He gets stopped for riding his bike somewhere he shouldn't (no it's not Pinkie). At that point he's taken into custody bcos he looks like the description of the bloke who did it. No DNA evidence to tie him to the offence (but there's more to this that comes out later). The main evidence at the trial is two "honest eye witnesses" who say they saw him walking nearby. He gets convicted for life (minimum 7 years eligible for parole if he attends some rehab group admitting he did it, which he refuses so isn't eligible). Around 2007 new evidence comes that there was another man's DNA on woman's clothing. He writes to the CCRC (only organisation with the power to refer a case back to the appeals court). They don't bother investigating at all and decline to make the referral in 2012. Malkinson is devastated but writes to Greater Manchester Police asking them to keep the clothing of the victim safe. They write back to him that evidence for ALL life sentences is kept for 30 yrs so he has nothing to worry about. Few years later, a friend of Malkinson writes to APPEAL, an organisation with lawyers who work off their own back investigating miscarriages of justice. They decide to take on the case and request the clothing from the police to analyse the DNA. Despite what GMP told Malkinson, it turns out that after them saying they won't destroy the evidence they actually DO destroy. All seems lost but then APPEAL learn of samples from every item of victim's clothing is in test tubes somewhere in Birmingham. So they get those and find the other man's DNA on every piece of clothing including underwear. After 17 yrs in prison Malkinson is released on license. Still not innocent. They then find that the 2 "honest eye witnesses" at the time of the trial had 27 convictions between them. One of them was a heroine addict. He'd even appeared on Jeremy Kyle ffs The best bit is he was arrested on the same night as the rape (on other charges). The same night ffs. Most of the charges were dropped and conveniently he was able to identify Malkinson as the rapist. Then worst of all it turns out that the DNA of the other bloke belonged to someone who was put on the national database in 2012. The same year the CCRC didn't bother to investigate it for an appeal. They could've identified the real rapist back then. Anyway Malkinson is finally exonerated at the court of appeal in 2023. The actual rapist still hasn't been brought to trial and Malkinson has received zero compensation. The whole thing stinks. Greater Manchester Police lied and stitched him up. As Sucky would say, bent af!
Anyone know why this doctor mush dying in Greece is worthy of headline news? Can't say I've ever heard of the bloke.
He was a doctor well known for his work on healthy diets and also keep fit / healthy lifestyles. He's been on TV a lot for many years. I remember a series he did about aerobic exercise on telly about ten years ago and there's some of his stuff I still use to this day when I go running. It's probably why it's making headlines. Also it's rare someone in the media goes missing like he did. He came across as a nice bloke as well tbf.
Get's me when I hear on tv the headlines being he nearly made it, well that's a lot of fooking use to him aint it, he's dead ffs. Being a doctor especially one of diet and exercise, surely a must take thing would have been water or at least your phone, his death was completely needless in todays world of communication technology.
Yeh that was my thought but I heard his wife said this. For her and family I can understand it must be something you think about when that happens to a loved one but don't get why the media think it's so important. I think he just underestimated the terrain and his own capabilities. Many years ago I used to work with a bloke who was a volunteer with the mountain search and rescue just up from Manchester. The stories he'd tell me about ppl going up there hiking and the weather changing. Some were just generally inexperienced and stupid for want of a better word. Others who should've known better just caught out and misjudged what was going on. The weird thing is he passed shops along the way so could've grabbed some water etc. Makes me think he must've felt he was ok until he got to the resort. So I can only guess he misjudged what was about to come.
https://news.sky.com/story/shawn-se...illing-19-year-old-in-machete-attack-13147244 I know the copper that was first on the scene of this, horrific
Just seen about it on SKY News, shocking enough what they did, but two twelve year olds ffs! Yet I'm not hearing these politicians in the run up to the elections saying what they are going to do about it.
They'll be another one on trial from the same area soon, the victim was from our town, 17 yrs old, loved the gang culture, he was an acquaintance of my lads, who said he was he was an OK lad but was just fascinated by it all and unfortunately ended up getting involved in it. Apparently he was hacked 35 times and was a complete mess. Seems a daily occurrence atm, somewhere around the country but not a lot seems to be done to combat it. I have a mate who specialises in dealing with knife crime in Birmingham and the Black Country, astounding the number of weapons he confiscates on a weekly tour, most of it in parks.
Dumb cops, like who the hell is a calf going to hurt, just let it be or herd it into a garden or a road space and keep any vulnerable people or kids clear...so what if it's been on the loose for hours... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cnkkp7eejyqo
