The power cuts you refer to happened under the Heath government of 1970 -74, as did the 3-day-week, rampant inflation, and crippling strikes as well. You're welcome.
I get it Asbo, it’s all about The Peoples Republic of Jockistan for you. However, it seems the Sporran Nobbers Party has made such a **** up running things, that your kilted revolution is now on hold for the foreseeable. You’re getting robbed blind for gas, electricity and water, you absolute lump of ****ing wood. Seriously, wtaf is wrong with spanners like you? No wonder the country is ****ed. You’re not winning at anything btw. Unless you have a final salary workplace pension, you can look forward to working til you drop. You can thank David Cameron for that.
Looks like Britain's liable to become more isolated among western governments for some time to come. “The far right is on the march” is something you often hear said across Europe right now. “This feels like Europe of the 1930s.” So perhaps it is no surprise that with 350 million people across the European Union currently voting for their direct representatives in the European Parliament, there’s nail-biting by many a Eurocrat in Brussels. But are fears - and media headlines - exaggerated? Millennials and first-time Gen Z voters are among those predicted to pull rightwards. Figures gathered recently for the Financial Times newspaper suggest around a third of young French voters and Dutch under-25s, and 22% of young German voters, favour their country’s far right. This is a significant increase since the last European Parliament election in 2019. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cv22vne9x03o
It probably was not much of an experience for the other pupils at that grammar school who actually wanted to get on in life and probably have done. Thick plums like me that do not spend their days in a drug and alcohol induced haze talking to statues, dreaming of a Communist Utopia...
While they should be joining us in enjoying the tory collapse, the lefties on here are still obsessed with their fantasy version of other posters, they just stumble around in a bewildered stupor. They really don't know what they vote for. Just own your failure, and enjoy the ride.
Cliff Richard was born in Lucknow, India. He was the first Indian to top the UK Pop Charts with “Living Doll”. Whig MP David Ochterlony Dyce Sombre was the first Indian member of the UK Parliament, but obtained his seat by bribery and the result was annulled after nine months. So Liberal MP Dadabhai Naoroji, born near Bombay is considered the first Indian member of the UK Parliament, although he was the second.
Interestingly, when Scotrail was offering discounted tickets there was a similar scheme in England. The English one was funded by UK government subsidy but as transport is a devolved department, Wee Jimmy McKrankie had to subsidise the scheme North of the Border with your taxes. I think you will find that Dame Beer Korma plans to nationalise the railways by allowing all their franchises to expire and not renew them. Most of the franchises are owned by foreign operators, happy to milk the British taxpayer. I did write a post quite some time ago suggesting that they just pay off the franchises, put the debt involved in doing so on the new ‘British Rail’ and put the union cretins in charge, paying off the debt as a not-for-profit railway. No State subsidy and the smart arse Communists can watch how Communism results in poverty as people abandon a service run by incompetent union slackers.
You seem to have little understanding of how the EU works. The ‘Parliament’ is just a talking shop that exists to rubber stamp the edicts that are handed down by the unelected EU Commission. For the ‘Far Right Nazis’ to run the EU they would have to get rid of the existing Commission and replace it with their own. The term Nazis is a misnomer actually derived from the National Socialists, where Hitler started out. Even after Sunday’s elections resulted in the expected move to the Right, the ‘Far Right’ will not control the EU Parliament because it works by Proportional Representation so they will be forced to work with other Right wing and centre-Right groups. Collectively they can slow down the march to the United States of France. Since I do not want the Leftie Establishment State that we have in Britain, I certainly do not want to be back being handed our laws by the Brussels Establishment bureaucrats.
Communism pulled Russia and China out of poverty. Communist China has a 79% satisfaction rate from its passengers I was just hoping for a Railway run by Britain, not France or Holland but this Communist thing sounds good.
