The sad thing is this isn't just one person, just yesterday I had one of those things going round on facebook where they copy and paste a status, it was about how 'they' are stopping us from celebrating Christmas, 'they' can go back to where they came etc.

People are so ****ing stupid when they define 'English'. An 'English' person (in a racists eyes) would actually be made up of Celtic, Saxon, Roman, Viking and other bloodlines and ancestry. But she just doesn't understand.

I can't believe most people just sat there and let her go on. Shame about the white woman who said 'I'm English too' and only complained because it was waking her child.

It is funny though. Never understood why. Although according to my friends I am probably the "whitest" person in the country.....! Either way, to have any sort of hate displays ignorance which is never good. It works both ways in my opinion though.

 

I don't think anyone is condoning that. Not in the slightest! And I'm not in favour of any form of positive discrimination. Equality should result in equality in all walks of life, having said that I do think your wording of that original comment was a little dodgy!

That is exactly the same as my mate everyone who knows him say that he's the whitest man in Britain. You're right though it isn't good its just fortunate that yourself and my mate can take it light heartedly as it only takes one bad comment to the wrong person and then you have offended someone deeply and that is wrong !

We had our market this weekend. St Nicolas' Fayre (why is it spelt that way??) Town was absolutely heaving and I was nursing a hangover having stayed over at a mates house and drunkenly played fight night! It is however a brilliant event and makes me feel uber Christmassy even if it is still November!
