Lose this game. Win both matches in next week's double-header vs Glamorgan and Middlesex. Win one of the two matches in the double-header the week after vs Essex and Sussex. That would see us go into the break with a 5-3 win-lose record, which would be absolutely fine - especially when two of those three losses would be against Somerset and Surrey. It's the massive negative of such a big group stage (and always has been since they moved from three groups to two). Individual matches lack importance. Aside from hoping our NRR doesn't get trashed, I don't care about this innings. It barely matters.
New t20 career high score for Donald. Very pleased for him - hopefully he can make a good career at Derby.
That's the sort of big win that Scotland needed. Could well be that USA and Scotland both progress into the same super 8 group.
Middlesex, the T20 Masters of Mediocrity!! While other counties have adapted their recruitment to play four day and the shorter formats of the game, Middlesex seem welded to the Game as played in 1963!!
Weather looks rather grim for tonight's game v Glamorgan. On the plus side forecast looks fine for the Middlesex game tomorrow. Would much rather tonight's game was washed out out of the two.
