Have we got bored with the double-barrelled names now?

What’s with all these links from Turkish clubs for players? It would seem like they don’t actually have the money for required transfer fees. It doesn’t seem like any of them do. They cover inflated wages but not the fees

    He's in Hungary.

Ah, you're talking about the Aribo link.

Same thing happened last summer as well. Wonder if there's a bit of a link, what with SR owning a Turkish club and all that.

Besiktas are a dodgy club, pulled out of the Lyanco deal at the last second.

Wise move on their part; they must have watched him play and thought bugger that.

Aribo was one of our more outstanding players from last season, he's improved significantly. He deserves another chance in the prem.

Matter of opinion… but watching him live before Xmas and a couple of months later I struggled to see how he maintained the run in the team he did.

It may have been the system we played, but he looked lightweight at times… think it’ll be too much for him and o hope we’ve learnt our lesson in terms of being sentimental over whether players are good enough…

I thought that the Downes-Smallbone-Aribo midfield worked well together at the end of the season.

If had signed Aribo this season and had only seen his Championship performances we would be raving about him.

Not to say we should ignore the fact that he wasn't up to it in the PL, but considering our entire team was crap (excluding JWP) in the PL, I don't think we should write anyone off as not being PL quality based on that

For me it’s just the way he plays. I compared his play style (STYLE, not ability) to someone like Berbatov. He looks lazy on the ball and appears to need a bit of time, which you don’t get in the PL unless you are exceptionally good, like Berbatov.

Wouldn’t mind if he left this summer but not someone I would actively be looking to move on. Would prefer him to be more squad player next year but still in the squad unless we get a good offer. Plenty of other areas of the team that need to be concentrated on first
