What do you mean? I can say there's ffp issues and and see the longer term vision. Why do you think I made the #will Newcastle win something in the next 15 years thread ?
I think I'm not as bad as people are suggesting. I'll clarify again though that I undestand the only way forward is to grow revenue. The future is bright, but it's going to take a long long time to get where many think the club is already never mind back into the champions league and eventually winning something. It's not going to speed things up using mindsets or any other type of hocus pocus, so I can say the money isn't there at the moment because that simply appears an issue and ffp/psr is real and being enforced. It doesn't mean the future won't be good.
Penfold will be up soon... you'll have to both get up much earlier in the day to get one over me. Anyway I think the future is bright I've never thought otherwise.. I just lack patience.
I'm still expecting one top player to play rw and cb this window. If they do that we should do pretty well with only one game a week.
Fingers crossed...he's pure profit... I just hope the club and Howe don't do something daft and say no.
Yes, after all the injuries this season, I assume they won't risk stretching the squad too much, and he'll stay as back up. I assume Soton will buy Fraser (he did well for them), and then getting rid of Lewis and Hayden will be the next immediate concern.
Depends on whether he wants to go and how much Howe wants to keep him I guess, plus the amount we get offered for him. At the end of the day he was key this season with the amount of injuries we had. The priority is getting the players with no future here off the books, thankfully Fraser to Soton looks like a done deal cos he did so well there. Looks like we'll have to look Lewis out for the last year of his contract again. Hayden is utter waste of space, and god knows what we're going to do with him.
He won't want to leave he knows he won't get anywhere once the local lad **** stops... Howe ? Seems to be one of his mates.
They're preparing to offer £15m for Longstaff, according to the reports. Fraser - yeah hopefully goes on a permanent. Doubt we'll get much though, other than wage bill relief. Lewis and Hayden - hard to believe that anyone will come close to the wages we currently pay them, so we'll probably not shift them.
They should drag him there at that price with 1 year left on his contract. He's not a good enough player for Newcastle United.
