In that heat, dehydration could soon lead to confusion and weakness. Strange that he'd carry on walking with a limited supply of water. Plan the walk,walk the plan, anytime you deviate from it, always seems to lead to problems, we did it once on Goat Fell on Arran, we ended up ok but a knee injury slowed us down and we ended up descending in the dark, thankfully we found a well trodden path to follow down.

I see the NHS down there is still as **** .as it was when my parents lived ,and in my Dads case died ,down there . All the best to your mum .
Unfortunately it gets worse. During a CT scan yesterday they found a mass which is ‘all but confirmed as cancer’. She doesn’t want any further tests, scans or interventions for it though. So I guess this is what will finally do it for her.
