Love this board, a post goes from relaying the pitch at the MKM to golf to horticultural advice to relationship advice.
Just watching the welcome to Wrexham thing on Disney. Even there training ground ****s on ours. And probably did when they were national league.
mate fleetwood got relegated to league 2 this season check their training ground.. acun says our only limit is ffp.. for transfers so why not spend on a training ground etc proper legacy
while fleetwood have facilities like these please log in to view this image acun can shut the **** up about ffp. the fact is acun wants a premier league team to sell we were the cheapest way to get it theres no fairy tale story lol
Our training facilities are an embarrassment and have been for as long as I can remember, at least when we/i used to train on pitches behind the south stand at Boothferry park, trained at hull uni or hull ionians we had the excuse of being completely skint. That excuse ran it course at the very latest 2008. The fact multiple owners have done **** all about it is shambolic. It really doesn't make attracting players easy and I know at least a couple we've lost in recent years due to it..... It's just got to change
exactly i genuinely think its a disgrace the amount of prem seasons we've had and if you look at our club in 2024 youd have no idea. thats sad as ****
I don't think Acun will be here long enough to reap the rewards from a new training complex. There's only so long you're going to stick £14/15m a year to finish midtable.
but, but acun is here for us? he's great at saying the right things for pr and a nice lil turkish trip for some fans but he is another owner who will leave with no legacy acun never puts his money where his mouth is guy talks utter **** with nothing to back it up just another rich man for his own benefit its like reading a book, its so easy to see through
I think (as loads of foreign owners find) that the Championship is so much harder to progress than they think. I'm sure when he came in, he'd have thought we'd have least got to the playoffs after 2.5 years. But promotion to the PL still seems an awful long way away, things can change quickly mind.
there is no acun legacy he bought us for cheap, to try and get to the prem for big profit thats it all this pr is easy to see through
That's all owners though. It's not like he's a local guy, so I doubt he gives much of a care about his legacy. The trips to Turkey will be his legacy and the revival of the fan base.
but talking bad against acun is sacrilege at this point because of these trips the people who just support someone with no critical thinking are the same who supported hitler etc (now thats a hard pill to swallow, and the point will be missed by 99% of readers) aka Blindly supporting the ownership of a football club without critical thinking can lead to negative consequences. It's essential to evaluate the actions and decisions of the owners carefully, rather than just accepting them without question, to ensure the best outcomes for the club and its supporters
Hmmm...the support for Hitler was a bit more than that. It stemmed from a removal of empathy for a people who were felt to be too different to their own. And there's definitely no current parallel for that, because history never repeats itself.
Before this all gets wiped... One of the many 'sad' things about the recent memorial, was the discussion of the last one attended by those with a 'living memory' of being there, in one way this has a poinence to it, though in another for many of us and our children / grandchildren their sacrifices gave us testament to freedom to discuss the detritus that gets discussed on here. My father didn't fight as he was a school boy when the war started and was to young before it ended. But he and most of his siblings were evacuated and young age (& his experience was not good) whilst my grandfathers either helped build ships or were on merchant ships bringing supplies from other countries. So many gave.
Came to see if there’s an update on the pitch. Discussion about Hitler. please log in to view this image
