Yeah, it would be, 'The pressure from this forum has panicked KLD into action, now for the transfer window so get posting'.
Didn't him and the Brentford owner work together? I'm sure they left the company, to go to their respective clubs, but agreed not to share the data. I might be miss remembering the details but it's something like that. Tony Bloom is a clever bloke. Stood next to him once at Cheltenham. He stuck 400k on his horse, called Energumene, won the biggest race of the day by a mile. I seen him do it so I pushed the boat out to 200 . My arse hasn't twitched so much since
Both high level gamblers aren't they? Using data to win massive bets. I know Bloom is a good poker player as well. No surprise that two highly data led clubs have risen like they have.
I believe the worked together, but the data Brighton use is Blooms and his alone. I'm sure someone on here or otr knows one of the data geeks that helped develop it and is now paid to not work for anyone else
Nads, with respect, when i posted it would be Thursday or just before subject to the staff levels, the agent who told me said it was almost complete. KLD posted the statement to be fair, it is almost done. should we just wait till its announced, me and loads of others are tired of the same rhetoric. FFS i hope it works out for us the lads are back in next week, some are back in the area now.
Don't know what Brentford owners called but I know Tony Bloom is an extremely clever man. I'm a big fan of jump racing and Tony Bloom has a few horses, they're a bit hit and miss. However if the money is down on one of his horses, you know it's came from one place, and there's a good chance it will come in.
Matthew Benham. Bloom hired him in 2001 to work at his betting company and now they both own the clubs they support and run them so well.
I thought they worked together on it, but agreed to go there seperate ways but basically keep it a secret. I could be wrong though
Cheers mate, I couldn't remember his name. Both extremely clever men. I'm in the middle of a career change to software engineering/data and I can hardly get my head around the semi basic stuff. The stuff these lads do is unbelievable, literally an alien language to the rest of us.
TBF, you started it "Ross Stewart won't be leaving this window. No side is going to pay money for a player recovering from an achilies injury." The Dude, Jul 11th, 2023
So from what AZ Alkmaar was saying, I'm not sure I'm as keen as I was about Jansen. Sticking to one game plan, being stubborn not to change, making the same tactical changes week in, week out raises many red flags. I thought part of Mowbray going was because we'd been found out how to play against us and nullifying our threats. This summary of Jansen makes me think this is the way it would go, after an initial period where opposition coaches figure us out. It's making me lean more towards Rosenior instead if it is a two horse race, as I feel longer term it would be a better choice. I could be, and hope to be, proved wrong. I've missed a chunk of today's posts, so maybe my concerns have already been addressed and answered (positively I hope). Either way I will back whoever comes in.
