It’s easy done though. People think ‘oh it will be okay it’s only a couple of miles’ and overestimate their abilities and underestimate their fitness and the terrain/heat I tried to ride an old granny shopper bike up the side of a Volanco in the Canaries a couple of years ago lol. But I turned back before I died. It don’t look good though. If they’ve not found him yet he’s probably gone well off piste, panicked and got himself into a place where he’d have no idea where he was
If you don't respect your age and ability, nature has a harsh habit of punishing you. First thing I thought when I heard he had walked for an hour without water, I'm like ffs, a doctor should know better, you would have thought. I know with all those Greek islands, expect extreme heat this time of year.
Yeah although older people don't worry so much about phones, but I would never leave mine behind, and it's a rare occurrence if I forget to take it with me.
Thing is , these professionals are certainly better at giving advice than practicing it, how many obese nurses do you see waddling around the wards, more fat than thin. Plus a lot of these clever folk have little in the way of common sense, if it's not written down or on a graph, they're ****ed
The youngest doing his first half marathon tomorrow, very little training and goes out on the piss until now. Torn between "****ing legend" and what the **** am I doing up waiting for this idiot to to come in and cook a frozen pizza while I sit here and hope he doesn't fall asleep and burn the ****ing house down just so that I can get up in about 5 hours and drive the prick to Swansea for him to jog about with a hangover.
Hasn't turned the oven on so I'll just sit here for a while longer while he ****s about a little. ADHD is fun as ****.
