Why aren't Newcastle finding any talent ? It's all big money signings or players that run around sweating alot. It's worked so far, but if the money has ran out then Nickson and Howe need to earn their salary and unearth a few unfound gems surely? Minteh appears the only one and he was loaned out immediately..... Hall won't get in the side either when howe gets his pick in Kelly.
I'm just getting the impression this window is going to be a bit dull in terms of signings. Looking like Trafford Kelly and lewin will make up 3 of the window.... it's unlikely they'll sign many more... 5 maybe ?

Jan was zero, last summer included a left back who didn’t play till spring and a midfielder who hasn’t played. And Harvey Barnes. Since Howe got more control it’s gone ****. He was **** at Bournemouth. Far too safe, always aiming for steady eddies. We will bulk up the subs bench then stare aghast next season as Burn, Longstaff, Murphy, Schar and others continue to get 30+ games then scratch our heads as to why we can’t break into the top 6. And we’ll likely spend £100m+ on subs.
I’ve had a moment or two where I thought they’d genuinely have a go this window but I just don’t think we’ve set things up well enough. Suspect next season will see the necessary changes. The owners will expect top 4 but we aren’t making moves to get there. Howe did this at Bournemouth - stood by the steady eddies thinking points and progress is gained from loyalty and camaraderie.
I have accepted the money isn't there but the signings could still be better work than just recognised safe and easy to manage mid players.... where are the cheap finds?
In any window? It's all been expensive signings. Surely this lot need to find a few players ? Paying out their arse for plodders is surely not the way fwd ?
We had this chat in Jan and last year, underwhelming then. If I’m wrong will hold my hands up of course, but I’d be interested to see how many are really confident about the window.
It doesn't matter how many are or aren't confident about the window. The only thing that matters is who we get. No one knows but we already have a constant panic and complaining and the window hasn't even opened.
When you actually get round to responding to my requests eg this morning, then I will answer your questions but not before. That seems fair to me.
