Yeah, apparently the JD Sports agreement is worth another £7m per year and we're also about to announce a new training kit sponsor before the end of the month that is rumoured to be near £10m per season.
That's very much like the condition I'm imagining you have at this point folders. Regardless the summer will tell us more and we all hope the club manages to keep it's best players.
Nobody from the club has actually said we will have to sell players but with a squad of 25 if we want to sign we have to sell to make space anyway and that generates more money along with what we’ll have in July. That doesn’t mean we can’t buy some first or that a big player will be sold
I don’t think anyone thinks ffp isn’t an issue, but that’s different to having to sell your best players.
Hopefully...would be cool ... yanks love it though its a new recipe. It would be good marketing over there.
Eales said it’s a possible way to go not that we have to or that it would necessarily be the top player
Nobody said top players this where you and folders have gone wrong. You're arguing a point that was imagined. It was about minteh and what looked likely based on all the evidence we have.
Trafford would be yet another idiotic purchase. I don't get why literally every other club understands that you always, always strengthen your first XI yet we seem to continually try to make the subs bench a bit better. Pope isn't a top four keeper, Trafford isn't even a PL keeper yet. Pope does his shoulder again, are we hoping Trafford, who ended up dropped by Burnley because he was so bad, will be the one to get the defense back on track? Dubravka is considerably better than Trafford. I firmly believe CL qualification is the expectation - not goal - next season, yet I strongly suspect we're going to make a right ****ing pigs ear of yet another transfer window. Really feels to me that since Howe got the keys to the kingdom for finishing fourth, the transfer activity has gone downhill at an alarming rate.
That’s true. But if you believe what some reports are suggesting (I think it’s bollocks) they need another 20m in before 30 June 24.
No it’s basically Howe confirming at 14 Jan 24 that FFP is an issue. And if is this still an issue till 30 June 24. After that new season and new finances.
No, that's not Folder's position. Folder's was saying it's only speculation that we need to sell a player to stay right side of FFP and that there was no evidence to the contrary, just speculation. Truth is only the Club knows and they aren't going to be telling anyone. And Folder's is sick fed up of gossip, innuendo and rumours being presented as fact and evidence.
In case you both need reminding....here's what was said.... pay close attention and you'll see there is no mention of selling top players and also to the words 'looks' and 'like'. Here's this thing it's you guys that have no evidence, but you have an issue with me using what evidence we have to say what the situation 'looks' to be 'like'. How about you both show some evidence to suggest I'm wrong along with every journalist and that is contrary to what every person at the club has hinted. Both my assailants and anyone else can think what they like about the ffp situation that's fine, but guess what I am too and If you're going to deny me that then at least stick to opposing what I actually said in the first place. I will once again now attempt to move on from this imaginary argument that's been created. We all just hope we can keep hold of our best players and that things go well and can all make our own assesments ... surely we can agree on that part and move on.
Eddie Howe himself said that FFP is an issue. The transfer market was flat as a pan cake for a number of clubs in January. It would be nice to see some better quality players added but as we are a top 7 club now them players are expensive and already being looked at by other clubs. We need to be smart. We need a good scouting system. We have to unearth a couple of gems. Like Minteh. Who looks raw but clearly got talent.
