Yep looks like the sale of players threat is real . If they can sell minteh for 40 million it's a no brainer but he's going to be some player I bet. Then get some money for Longstaff Wilson and Trippier that would be good work.

I suspect Almiron may be one who goes - sustained rumours that he'll be off to play against Saint Maximin next season. Get £40m for Minteh (probably doubtful) and it would be around £110m for that lot, including Almiron.

 

I would sell Miggy.

But I think Minteh is his replacement.

 

The fact the club have repeatedly advised us first and foremost and that is backed up by the media, the fact the rules exist and now our own players are telling us along with every journalist on the continent.

Newcastle have to sell players to avoid sanctions is questionable, but hardly unlikely given the evidence of what's happened at Everton and Forest.

Obviously no one is sure how much of that goes to getting us out of the red before end of June, but wouldn't have thought it would be loads. What is left over and combined with existing summer transfer budget, should hopefully be enough to get an Ederson level replacement for longstaff, an Olise level replacement for Almiron and a Sesko level replacement for Wilson. Replace Trippier with Livramento and bring back Ashby to cover.

 

The manager needs to start saying yes when clubs come in for his mates.. there's an underbelly that needs replacing and they can easily improve in it imo without having to spend the Earth.

The first 11 is fine if all fit and well.

Exactly this. We need a first choice LB, RW, GK, RCB and a backup striker this Summer. We need shot of as much Ashley deadwood as possible. Longstaff, Burn will stay but we have to take whatever we can for Murphy, Almiron, WIlson, Krafth and Dubravka.

 

Personally would say LB is last on that list. Hall, Burn, Targett and Kelly.

Exactly right and having ousted the likes of dummett and Richie it's a start... they stunk the place out for years whether they were great guys or not. The players all have to be 1st 11 quality.
