Totally understand where you are coming from. If it was me I'd be looking to offload Bamford to the USA or The Saudis and bringing in somebody like Ben Diaz or Che Adams. I'm going out on a ledge here and say there are 2 reasons for this signing... 1) We are getting rid of Joffy as he's not progressed as we have expected and are looking and bringing some one younger even though he's 2 years younger 2) We are looking at the Canadian markets more brand exposure However Dortmund is supposedly looking at him as well
I'm expecting Summerville to Liverpool with Nat Phillips coming the other way. Palace will come for Gnonto.
Palace will have the money though if Olise goes and he’s probably better off there when you look at Eze/Olise.
Palace seems to be the logical move IMO. If he goes to Merseyside he'll be on the bench. If he goes to South London he'll be a regular. stating 11 football. Supposedly Liverpool have pulled out as they don't wanna the asking price for somebody who wants to be a bench warmer.
I have put all football on the backburner since the final loss and seeing the summer transfer thread I really had nowt to say but we have to be honest here with ourselves anyone can go out the club and recruitment in will be championship standard unless we snap up a gem from the lower leagues. Who stays is a hard call obviously we have to take some hits and hand on heart don't see Summerville,Gnonto,Rutter,James,Firpo,Meslier here next season. most will get their moves and if a good money offer comes in Rutter he will go as the carrot for sure. I think we will try everything under the sun to keep a hold of Archie Gray but the money will talk and the old cliché of we wanted him to stay but the offer was to great to turn down. Rodon wont be seen again but I think Ampadu will stay and be club captain. as of the rest its a rebuilding mission and still some chopping and changing will be done. I see a massive overhaul because i just don't see any of the above wanting to stay in championship football not us wanting to let them go.
Ampadu, Gruev, Kamara, Gray we need to rebuild around those four, ideally we’ll keep hold of James and play to Piroes strengths and he’ll get goals, we also have Struijk. We didn’t have enough team players last season so maybe losing a few is a good thing. A decent attacking RB and LB would be good first signings
Personally I'd be building around Gray and Joseph. I think the Red Bull investment and eventual take over will mean the transfers will take a new turn while they try to expand the club in to markets we've not thought of before. In the next few years I expect to see players come in from Latin America, J and K leagues as well as Africa. The 49ers will want to sell us for a massive profit while Red Bull will want us to compete in Europe.
I think the Red Bull investment means that we may have the financial backing to keep more of our better players for another season at least then add for a promotion push.
I wasn't impressed with Rutter, he gave the ball away too much, and kept loosing it in attacking, trying to beat too many men. His shooting is woeful, and wouldn't be a miss if he went, as I don't think he brings much to the squad
No point in going on any of those sites, or twitter, guess work the same as us. None ITK, it’s going to be a long summer
Suppose I'll be the first to say it. This is a rumours thread. That's what you'll get. For some it gives a little conversation or amusement through the summer. For others, it seems to send them crazy. For those people I'd suggest giving it a wide berth.
Rumours. Brighton want Summerville. We're allegedly after Oliver Skipp on loan from Spurs, aswell as getting Rodon back.
