Yeah, as a gaffe it's big, but it's not anything of substance. I really don't care about it beyond it's another percentage point lost for the Tories.
If it means that Barry from Canvey Island is so enraged by it that he decides to ditch his Tory vote then it's a win for the nation. Funny to think that the right wing press went ballistic at Corbyn once because his Poppy was 'too small' at Rembrance day, and their Tory poster boy has literally clean ****ed off the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
I did wonder if Cameron decided not to warn Sunak. He’d obviously like to come back so it does him no harm to be the one pictured with world leaders.
Does not matter, Farage is trying to make the Conservative collapse as bad as possible and to get a few MPs including himself so he can have a platform to become Labours opposition.
See that the Tory’s keep saying that Labour would trash the economy. Well in the last 14 years I would say they are talking from a position of experience….all that without a world financial crisis.
I can't see it ever happening. Conservative party is far too dominant and appeals to such a broad spectrum of ppl from centre right to further right (usually). I genuinely think his ultimate aim is to take over the Tories. Heaven help us if that ever happens. Becoming an MP is the first step.
It's not even a PR gaffe in my mind, that don't even come into it. It just demonstrates he does not have the British values that he says everyone else should have, and to know one of his policies is bringing in National Service, well I suggest he join a year himself, as soon as Labour boot him out of number 10. To say it's a PR gaffe, demonstrates you are completely missing the point as well. It's a fooking disgrace that's what it is.
Whatever your thoughts on Farage - and I'm completely at odds with his politics - he's a much better orator than Sunak or Starmer ...
I missed the debate, but saw Rosie Duffield was trending on twitter, wondering to why (some pride march in Canterbury kicking off about her lol), then came across this in response to Keir's timeline lol...
