I have heard that Steve Bruce is getting another 2 games to save his job. Whether that's reasonable or not we can debate at great length but I have a deal that will stop up all tearing each others throats out.

For these 2 games, Wolves and Blackburn, let's give it 100% full on Bruce in and get behind him and the team and look to win both games. I would imagine he needs 2 wins, not 2 draws or a win and a draw, to make any difference now.

If at 5pm on the Saturday of the Blackburn game we haven't turned it round, then there can be no recriminations amongst up fans or excuses from Bruce himself.

We will do our bit and Bruce has to do his. 2 games. 2 wins and no excuses. I have absolutely no faith he can deliver his part but I guarantee I will do mine.

    How does that sound?

I cannot even do this Cest.

Im finished with it until Bruce goes. Even if we win both games (even though theres not a chance in hell at the mo).

How he's still in a job is beyond my comprehension.

Ok where is Cest and what have you done with him?? Lol

I think what you have said is fair enough I am prepared to do that although I would be quite happy if he was gone by 5pm

Even if we do win the next 2 games its just papering over the cracks he has to go.

I do understand what you are saying Cest but it boils my piss to think he will still be in charge against Wolves

Hmm, I am afraid to say I may be going along with the Gary Bennet suggestion, the only way in which we will get a change of manager is if the attendance drops, I've never deliberately done this before but I am getting so fed-up with the whole saga of just 'X' number of games for SB to etc., it just seems never ending.

Lads, I'm not saying if deserves it but it looks like he is getting these games, so all Iam saying to stop all the bickering and fans squabbles, if we all pull together then if can't use us as his excuse as he has tried to allude to this weekend.

We are only to blame for keep coming and taking this crap week after week and saying nowt. I want us to go out and support the team like never before and give him nowhere to turn to in 2 weeks time.

I have no doubts he can't do it, as he will almost certainly keep up the farce of 1 striker and players all over the shop and this will fail as it has done all year.

This may not be the end just yet but it is the beginning of the end for sure.

I hear what your saying Cest but I firmly believe Bruce has lost the fans and has past the point of no return. I honestly don't see how Bruce staying can help our club in the long run.
OK he may win the next two (doubtful). Then what? Lose the next one and it all starts again.
No matter how I look at it I just don't see the team we have today playing well enough under Bruce, to regain the fans support.
Rightly or wrongly, to keep Bruce is just sadly, delaying the inevitable.

I wont even put the radio on for either of those games.

On Saturday, going to Durham with Janie. Eat our lunch down by the river & feed the ducks & swans.

The week after we off to Annisford for a pub lunch then a look around Morpeth.

if we need 2 wins from 2 games...and nothing else will do. Then surely, if we don't beat Wolves on Saturday then its time up for Bruce anyway. Why wait till the Blackburn game?

There can be no doubt the best deal os one where he is relieved of his job and a fresh new look injected into this tired and frankly shot to pieces football club. However, unless there are protracted discussion going on now or the Gary Speed news is still making it difficult, the rumours that he has been given a 2 game extension would ring true.

So, with that in mind, its up to us not to allow Bruce to point the finger at us as fans because despite the chat on the forums, his stadium fan base stood firm with him and the team throughout all the past 11 months of failures at home. I will be livid if he goes and then tries to blame anyone but himself.

That's kind of what I'm saying too.
It's taken a long old time to get to this point. He has enjoyed the majority all the way up till the last two games. Our fans must be among the most loyal and tolerant in the land after the garbage we put up with year in, year out.
Everyone has a limit, Bruce has crossed the line.
Getting the fans back now is nye on impossible.

I agree completely. Lets be honest Bruce has lost it, there is no way he is going to win the next 2 games. If we support him and the team their can be no more excusses. The same goes the other way if we win and play well we know the way to move forward is to support the manager. I can't see us winning either game though.

Absolutely spot on Cyprus. I posted something similar on another thread and firmly believe that there is no way back for Steve Bruce after the fans reaction on Saturday. IMO he won't get 2 games. Lose against Wolves and I can't see Ellis making him face the home fans again. I have no doubt at all that Ellis will remove Steve Bruce from his post for his own benefit.

I agree, I want him to go, but if he has to stay for the next two games, no amount of protesting will make him leave. It'll make the team do even worse than they are doing. If we give the biggest crowds and the biggest cheers and still lose, he'll have no excuses. Not going to the matches is cutting off your nose to spite your face, it's ridiculous.

well i will be watching the Blackburn game on sky and i wonder how many thousands more will be? or in the pubs, even though i am a season card holder. I back the team %100 come 3pm whatever but this going too bad and i fear we might be lucky to get 20,000 for the Blackburn match if we lose at Wolves. It seems to me we have to be in the bottom 3 for the players to start reliesing how bad we are.
