He really should have taken Mitchell. In great form and an actual LB so now we’re relying on Shaw being fit which he won’t be as I just saw him arguing with the chef in a Toby Carvery that unlimited potatoes means unlimited or Trippier who isn’t good anyway and isn’t a left-back and had a shocking season.

So is Chilwell, due to our lack of natural LBs id have taken him over Gomez

****, injured and Chelsea. Just take an actual fit left-back. Mitchell is decent.

Yeah but I can understand gambling on your best player in the position which Shaw is. I don’t understand having no proper back-up. Just keep Shaw away from the currywurst and it’ll be ok.

It's not for TAA to dictate the team ... and he's played most of his career there ... like it or lump it ... we've got much better midfield options ...

He’s a good sub to give another option at RB if chasing a game and we want his crossing/set pieces. Not a chance he should be starting in midfield in serious matches.

wouldn't be my first choice by any means but that will be one of the reasons he was selected .

Mad that he ain’t taken Branthwaite, he’s quality, should be starting let alone just being in the squad and he’s left footed so could’ve covered LB if need be seeing as our only actual LB is a crock. No idea who’ll be the other CB alongside Stones, I rate Guehi the highest but I reckon Gomez might take it.

    I’d go with:

    Pickford
    Walker, Guehi, Stones, Shaw
    Rice, Wharton
    Saka, Bellingham, Foden
    Kane

Good case for Eze to start over Wharton in ones we should dominate.

In reality - don't know why Southgate has taken him then - sent much better midfield options home ..

For me, Foden is wasted played wide ... needs to be at the centre of everything...

We're not lumping it up to the big lad <laugh> ...

You've got Foden, Palmer, Saka, Gallagher and Bellingham ... all of whom play for the tippy tippy triangles types ..

The ****in state of this comment lol

Let's leave Saka out coz Chopper Flossy reckons he'd be happy taking him on rather than Eze

Oh and let's leave the Premier League player of the year out too <laugh>

I just think it's funny you're choosing the England squad based on when you were playing on a muddy school pitch with your mates nearly 60 years ago <laugh>

That said, Eze is a talent and definitely offers something exciting, he'd made a great impact sub.

But as has been pointed out, it's absolutely mental to want to leave Saka and Foden out.
