Adjustment needed for the physicality of the division in my view and it helps as it did with Mowbray in my view if they know what’s coming. I just want more certainty and less idealism
It's true they're trying to remove the use of terms like Anglo and Anglo-Saxon from contemporary nomenclature, this is politically motivated, if you're familiar with the author Adam Rutherford, I believe he has outlined in articles that after Brexit he and a number of academics will slant data in a way that is more inclusive, meaning non-White, in order to combat, what he sees as bigotry. One example of this is the debunked "Chedder Man", who was initially depicted as quite dark skinned despite not having good data on what gene clusters make up skin colour, currently academics admit the clusters they do have suggest the darkness of skin resembles modern Finns rather than subsaharan Africans. If you want to continue this, it might be worth creating a new thread and tagging me, otherwise we can get back to football.
That, but for me it sounds like the bloke needs some convincing to come and that alone raises question marks about how much he actually wants to manage us, especially if he done a U turn (well within his rights if he got offered a better deal elsewhere)
Really think the Still thing has come and gone and come and then gone for good now. Just cannot imagine we have hung around this long for a coach who has seemingly done all but shove his pen up his hole not to sign on the dotted line.
100% i get that, think ive said a few times that if it was Maric, id want him to have an experienced assistant or 1st team coach. That way if things were to get tough, they can lean on them for advice Ive also seen the most experienced managers crumble under pressure though so its not 1 size fits all - its all about the individual
That's it for me. Lots of people are focusing on football style and I get that but I'm thinking more about points on the board at this stage. It depends on the squad we start with, if it's so strong I feel like I could coach us to mid table then an idealistic coach would be great, if it's very similar to what how we finished last season with a few unproven young players added, I'd be worried about relegation with someone green in charge. I'd include Still in that.
Purely based off his record at AZ and what little I have seen of his social media reputation, would it not be more likely for Pascal Jansen to be linked with the Leicester or Lazio? I hope not btw haha
This is where I can't help but think about Heckingbottom, he's seems to be quite unpopular on here but I have a feeling he would make a right go at the playoffs, maybe fall short but I think we'd be in the hunt. Maybe his style would stink up the place, I'm not sure.
Not really worth another thread, other than to say that the dropping of 'Anglo-Saxon' is more complicated than solely political motivation. Political manipulation of archaeological data is what my post-grad research was on. With regards Cheddar Man, yes, I've read various conflicting opinions about his appearance.
Think the reason a few of us are talking about style is to get points on the board you need a style n system to get the most out of what weve got Plus i want to be entertained when watching my club, i want to know we will out work every team we come up against and that we will always go out to win games. I get football is a points business but i want to love n look forward to watching my club, we had that our 1st season back in the league I think its important for us to have an identity as a club on the pitch, means that its then easier (in theory) when replacing a manager as the style is already there Thats why i was so pi$$ed off with the beale appointment, it was going away from any style of play we were starting to form (TM seemed to go away from that at the start of the season as well) Im not fussed about a possession based football, i want to see a team that presses high and doesnt stop running for us. Then one that will play with tempo when we have the ball, n play through the lines quickly Well, thats my thoughts on it - rambled on a bit there lol
Looks like lens are skint https://x.com/GFFN/status/1798287873114067358 Habib Keita's (22) €3m move to RC Lens has been cancelled after austerity measures were introduced by owner Joseph Oughourlian - the details. (L'Éq)
That also all applies to Rosenior who's my pick. In his case he's young enough to still have lots to learn and ability to evolve his style if it's not working. I'm not sure about Heck, solid coach should do a good job just zero glamour for the fanbase which seems to be important in terms of how much patience they're given.
