Aye, I'd been looking through a ton of stats last night (foolishly since I don't actually think there's much in the link) and what you've said backs up my main take aways. I don't see much Eredivisie though so I've no means of corroborating any of it with the eye test. From what I can see, very possession heavy in 22/23, a bit more direct this season but still an emphasis on keeping the ball. Not an intense press but more of a controlled press. Create a lot of chances. Quite reliant on full backs to create chances in 22/23 especially and one of them, Kerkez, is now playing very well at Bournemouth.
Very good at developing players, look at the amount of players sold for big fees during his time there. He's also very used to just being the coach, he didn't make decisions on transfers at AZ.
A more direct, high intensity and aggressive style is more to my taste but someone, it may have even been you, said when discussing Rosenior, that a more possession based game is a much better way to showcase your team's talents. Our progress as a football club is going to be reliant on doing that so I can console myself with that if we do end up with a coach that favours a more possession heavy style (though I still think it doesn't reflect favourably on the hierarchy that we seem to be lurching stylistically all over the place with the head coaches we're apparently targeting)
On your latter point, he's not only used to it but he's very accepting of it.
