I'm taking a guess that the reason why only blocks 37-39 and 41-1 were initially available this morning (to those being relocated from blocks 11-15) is because 37-39 and 41-1 are now the cheapest areas outside of the Northam. And therefore offering them first only to those who have previously experienced the cheapest tickets - ie those in blocks 11-15 - is fairest. But the club have communicated it very badly, and I'm sure some people from blocks 11-15 would have tried to renew this morning without realising that further blocks would be available this afternoon if they waited. The article on the website which explains it all wasn't there last week when details were first announced - this morning was the first time I noticed it. It makes sense that those in blocks 19-27 get the same priority this afternoon as those in blocks 11-15. But I still don't understand why those in blocks 16 and 28 are forced to wait until tomorrow. Yes, block 16 is technically "Chapel" not "Itchen South 11-15"; and yes, 28 is technically "Kingsland" rather than "Family Stand 19-27". But so what? People in blocks 16 and 28 are still being relocated, so surely they too deserved the chance to relocate this afternoon?
My biggest issue today was experiencing a technical failure that meant Blocks 37 and 1 were basically gone by the time I got access. The failure to offer an equal number of seated blocks to the number of people who have been displaced is a no no as well. And Blocks 36 and 2 being part of the 'flanks' feels a bit of a rip off to be honest, they are clearly 'wing' seats and if they had been included in the first wave today it would have resolved much of the issue.
I can only assume that, for whatever reason, they're aiming for a teenage audience in the "flanks". As you say, blocks 36 and 2 are surely more suited to be packaged with "corners" rather than "flanks". Asking an adult to pay an extra £120 for sitting in block 36 (rather than 37) or block 2 (rather than 1) seems highly unreasonable. But for a teenager, it's a massive £179 saving. Not sure I quite follow that decision-making by the club. PS. Even though it says that ST holders not moving have to wait until Thursday to renew, my online account is already giving me the option to renew now. (Not that I'm in any rush to renew.)
So my mum has been screwed by the move as we’re in block 16. Can’t move until tomorrow for some reason and supposedly **** all apart from expensive seats available.
I have renewed. Was able to renew before my window started. Think the club could have done a much better job of this
Any tips as to how? Mine will be Thursday. All I see when I login now is ability to buy a Women’s Season ticket
Mine was just available. Went for DD and initially it tried to redirect me to a AWS page for payments that needed a login. Closed browser and re logged in, ST still in cart and took me straight to DD payment page.
I went into the ticketing portal, logged in and then there was a season ticket tab. As I hovered over it, it revealed ‘reserved season tickets’ in the menu. Clicked on that and was given the chance to purchase both my existing seats again.
Ah got it. Thanks. We are looking to move so want to see what current non season tickets are available before 1 July so waiting to see when the stadium map opens for us.
I have been quiteintereste to rea the comments about the Saints ticket office because I find the people really helpful on the phone yet the website never functions whenevr I hace tried to buy tickets. It is always the same problem as it never recognises my password. When I ring up, I get the staffto re-set the password and this still does not work whenever I try to buy tickets on line on the next occasion. The whole process means I always ring up to renew my season ticket or get cup tickets. This is a problem I have had since they introduce buying tickets on line over a number of years. I think it has oly worked on about two occasions. I was unable to go to Wembley last month as a conseuqence. What will be annoying is that next season season ticket will be on an App. My experience of Apps for other venues has been underwhelming. There are always problems wehn I buy tickets from Lords and the Hants CC often does not work at the venue. Given the poor quality Wi-Fi at St Mary's, I am not confident that the App will work and expect major problems during the sirst match of the season.
You can request a card mate. Tell them you're not tech savvy and don't have a smartphone. I agree the online ticket system is a shambles but I've also had similar poor service over the phone. Premier League football club but national league ticket office.
On a side note; I see it’s reported we’re 4k up on STH for last year. I recall last year in PL was 22k (?) but I presume dropped, so what’s the running total now?
I'm sure I recall the club putting out last pre season that we'd sold more ST's than 22/23 which would mean two years of increases. Anyone else remember that?
Does 14 day cool off period apply to football tickets? I got talked into ordering a ST the other night after a couple of beers
