Absolutely, he must be keen on the idea of england with him allegedly speaking to two clubs in the championship (Us & Norwich) but as you say does one of those relegated teams jobs become available, does Edwards go to Leicester and hes goes for Luton?
This by the way is another reason we should move quickly. We've seen that he / his agent are willing to play the field. If another gig comes up in the mean time it can disrupt things. This absolutely cannot go on past this weekend coming.
It should be done now, apparently we have offered him all we can, he must know all there is to know about us, tell him to take it or leave it
I think that's likely incorrect mate. They've just appointed a new general director, a new sporting director/coordinator and a new head of recruitment.
There's a theme, among some Sunderland fans, that the club isn't a great choice for Still ... ... while simultaneously saying we should be looking for someone better. It seems some have dropped into a routine of attacking the club no matter what.
The owner has literally just spelled out how the club will operate from now on, "The piss taking party ends here!" I think those were his words or am I thinking of someone else
I do worry some of us our building our hopes up a little here, it feels a little misplaced to me. I love optimism but only on the proviso that if things don't materialise then there isn't a massive, aggressive, over the top backlash as we've seen before (as recently as Friday with Walker's tweet).
I've always thought the club has somehow gotten into and maintained the mindset that the season doesn't actually begin until the transfer window shuts. No idea how, it every single year it feels like we're the last to the party, even with the five month head start we should have had. Then you look at the likes of Ipswich who rode that early momentum all the way to promotion.
I'm just going to leave this here, just in case anyone finds it useful What are directors of football and what do they do? https://www.premierleague.com/news/...as of responsibility,– placed, in most cases,
There’s a bunch of people , couple on here, largely on RTG, saying Lens sound a mess fan revolt and financial, he’s better here , then wanting a protest and KLD out and everyone sacked. Thick as whale spunk.
Just want to add a few thoughts about the situation. Why hasn't Still jumped at the chance to come here? Our offer must be decent for him to be so close to signing last week. Trying to look at it from an outsider's point of view, there must be a few alarm bells ringing in Still's head. There are a lot of plus points to the club. Fanbase, size, potential and some really good players. Then there's our poor season last year, gaps in the squad, and the sackings of Mowbray and Beale. Pride could suggest that we move on from Still. If he's not keen as mustard then it's his loss. I think that we instead need to respect there are currently faults with our club and having to convince a new head coach to come, and maybe wait on them a bit, is OK.
Challinor has ended up on skybet at 10/1. Bit random for a name with zero links to enter with these odds no? I don't have much clue about betting odds mind
Truth mate. The same slating Still not coming when it looked like he’d gone Lens will slate the appointment if it happens. Prime whoppas. If all you wanna do is complain, there’s probably issues closer to home you need to resolve.
