Poor first half. I cant see how a deep lying midfield 2 of Gallacher and Arnold can work, unless one of the wants to run beyond their midfield regularly. Eze is making an impression, otherwise poor though.

not much going on for any of them to say 'pick me'...seems they feel they are pretty much nailed on for this summer, i want to see an england team fighting for that shirt.

Pretty ****e that considering close we are to a major tournament. Far to slow and boring. Only Eze a bright spark.

With Eze, Palmer and Bowen they are all looking to occupy similar areas inside and that's fine if you have width provided by the fullbacks but we have a right footer playing on the left in Trippier who looks extremely slow and looks to cut inside when he has the ball and Konsa on the right who is a natural centre back. The balance is all off.

Bang on. That’s the worry if Shaw isn’t fit for the euros too.

He'll probably cut those 2 out when he whittles the squad down <laugh>

The right side is fine when Walker plays but the left is a big problem. Palmer, Eze, Saka, Jude, Bowen and Foden are all better off the right or centrally so for me Gordon or Grealish have to play to hold the width on the left, especially if Trippier is going to be at left back.

It was a nice display at the start mind . . . . it's always going to be good to see a red & white display at The Scrapyard

Same here, great for the lad but not sure that was a pen. Happens every set piece, if they applied it consistently then yes but they don't. Should be multiple pens every game.

To be fair I didn't realise Newcastle was in the North East ...

... I know Edinburgh is further West than Manchester which threw me out a bit.
