You can only guess what other finals that were lost were not down the pep of course.
It's a general advertising of himself as he starts his career as the main man for the second time.
My guess is he feels the need after flopping last time to make himself look very impressive so he gets some credit in the bank somehow.

Why would he do it? The matches are all about the team and celebrating them so no need for him to come out screaming at the crowd.
The last game of season was to celebrate the staff leaving and it was all about them… so of course he’s going to celebrate. Pretty sure klopp does exact same thing.
Tbf when the other coaches who were leaving all came our quietly, hands raised acknowledging the fans, Pep did come running out shouting 'come on' and looking like he was trying to gee the crowd up. He hasn't ever done that before. I put it down to the emotions of the day. I'm not bothered by it. He's done a good job at Liverpool as Klopp's right hand man and now he's moved on.
That's the event that some mischief makers were reporting was having trouble selling tickets. As if.

Everyone’s either with national teams or away on holiday relaxing before pre season.
I don’t really want my boss phoning me while I’m on my holidays from either either tbh.

Given certain players are on the senior panel and certain other players on said panel reportedly did talk to their slot... well who knows.
30x 15min phone calls. Doesn't seem too hard to me but I don't really care either.
