Off this week. Little man is having a small op on his thumb so I’m fishing for sympathy on here as he went under about 15 mins ago
Trigger finger. So it’s a simple little op, fix a tendon guide, three other kids all having same today
If he's having GA just keep an eye on him for 24 hours, you can be a bit disorientated and not neccesarily know it (clumsy), but expect you know that.
You've got it - hate it when there is anything medical with the kids - my daughter (who is now 32) developed a sty on her eyelid when she was 5 - fairly common thing in kids and normally just goes away etc - but the pus solidified into a hard ball and required an op under GA - I was absolutely **** scared - probably took less than 10 mins once she was under ... Interesting thing was that they made the tiny incision from underneath having folded back the eyelid and squeezed out what was then like a hard little pebble ... she was absolutely fine - me and the then missus on the other hand ... As brb says - just need to keep an eye on him for 24 hours ... all the best
just speaking to staff, they said it’s such a short op that he will be walking out after he has had something to eat. Lad before him is back so can’t be long now. He was saying he wants some popcorn chicken for his lunch earlier
nothing worse as a parent I guess. But he was asleep for an hour after in recovery/ward. Ate/drank and had a pee. wanted popcorn chicken on way home and smashed that and now having some Tom soup. So almost back to normal.
Been setting up a new laptop today. ASUS Vivobook 16X never heard of them before. Hopefully this one will last me more than two years! Anyway bastards at Microsoft now want your credit card details, even if setting up a paid for 12 month subscription and I could find no way of getting round it, if accepting the 12 months. £59 thereafter robbing bastards.
Asus have been around for donkeys years. Don't pay Microsoft a penny. It's been about 5 years since I loaded a dodgy copy of Windows 10 on my PC and it's still going strong. Doing updates without issues.
Knackered - drove to Reading Uni last night to pick up youngest and all her gear as end of year - now on train...
Morning. Got an interview with a cheese business in a bit if anyone can add to my list of puns I may or may not use depending on how it’s going.
