I think if KLD surrounded himself with better people we'd see the owner we all want. Look at the difference already that Bruce has made with off the field things. The key is knowing who to surround yourself with, Short could never get that right no matter how much money he spent.
I get the frustration targeted at Speakman, but if Still had a verbal agreement with us and then backed out to join Lens, it’s very poor form on his part. That’s nothing to do with any delusions of grandeur about Sunderland, or the allure of European competition, it’s just a statement of basic principles and professional ethics. I’d feel exactly this way if he’d done the same to Man City or Macclesfield.
I've always been of the opinion that you concentrate on your own club. Outside of that you can do nothing about it. A boring view but it works for me.
Depends on you're approach to it, I suppose. I've always been interested as football as a whole, so limiting myself to only taking an interest in one club would cause me to miss out on a lot of the stuff I enjoy.
It's been said before, but we move on. I'm sure Still will wash up in England someday managing Huddersfield or Preston
He's not really being mentioned but it wouldn't surprise me if Gerhard Struber became the new head coach. Was pictured sat next to KLD at Birmingham away so there's definitely a connection there.
I was expecting KLD to already know what the likes of Quinn and Short had to learn painfully (and you could argue that they didn't) - that the most important appointment you can make is whoever you're trusting to run the football side, whether it's manager or DoF. Get a bullshitter in there and sooner or later they get found out.
Posted something similar just before. The quality of an owner is ultimately down to who they have around them.
this is mental even for end of season, no one is any further forward with this will still business apart from a few photo shopped posts around the place and nothing with any real evidence yet there is a (seemingly growing) amount of negativity on social media. pretty sure when WS was first talked about i posted i was not struck by him so i am not too bothered if he comes or not although i will give him the same support i will give to whoever we finally get...if this really is his new agent or them acting on his instructions then i honestly would prefer someone else rather than a bloke willing to turn his head as soon as another offer shows up. as for the current regime i am happy to see them continue but these next few weeks are vital, they have to hire a decent coach and back him with some transfers, players we have needed for a year or two that can hold the team together and let the younger lads 'do their stuff' when things are no going too well on the pitch...but this could well be thier last chance imo. the sad part is that we will never know the truth which means both the overly positive and the overly negative of us can continue to post whatever they wish...i just hope we get some good news, fast.
Just for balance, that Twitter page has 39 followers and RMC have not reported anything about Still fwiw I think the still deal is dead and won’t be coming here, just pointing it out
