So, can anyone provide insight on the following? How does the German Second Division compare with the Championship in terms of Playing Standard? How does the German Second Division compare with the Championship in terms of Finances? How does the German Second Division compare with the Championship in terms of attendances - are Hamburg an exception (56,000 per home game) or are there large attendances across the division? Does promotion to the Bundesliga equate with huge financial gains? Is there a vast gap between Bundesliga and Division Two? Do Division Two managers get plucked to become Bundesliga Managers or does the Bundesliga look internationally rather than locally?
Obviously these crowds won’t have the fervour of a febrile MKM. Worth a look on you tube at some of those clubs. https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/2-b...len/wettbewerb/L2/sort/zuschauer_schnitt.desc
Big club Hamburg with big crowds and expectations. Seems to have glowing reviews from a lot of HSV fans on Twitter saying it should go well so we will see, German managers tend to fare well in the champ and with Farke already managing to piss the league with a. Bundesliga 2 background (and playing staff) here’s to hoping it follows suit. Just seen the responses on Instagram it definitely fills me with a bit more confidence, what a ride this has been UTT.
The frontman still lives and works in Hull and ER. I met him regularly through work during Covid times, so only ever online, both individually and in meetings. A friend’s wife who had worked with him previously tipped me off about his Kettley link. I you tubed the above clip and he was instantly recognisable, and actually not really changed. From that point, every time I saw him on screen I was expecting him to grab a guitar and burst into song.
Just be careful what you hope for. Rosie with their far superior squad, already drilled into possession football?
It's the equivalent of not getting Leicester up for three seasons with the biggest budget in the league. And a lot of the stuff I've read has been very mixed, he seems to get entertainment rather than success. And 2.Bundesliga isn't a patch on the Championship
Bit different over there. An equivalent example would be 3rd place Leeds would play 3rd bottom prem and inevitably lose. Cos Leeds., Leeds are falling apart....
Has it been announced when the players are back for pre-season. Usually it towards the end of June, but with Tim joining 1st July, will they be back for say a week before he joins?
He may not officially be starting until 1 July but I'm sure he'll be doing unofficial work before then.
He'll be identifying players, Tan apparently doesn't ever stop so no doubt they'll be working away getting stuff done.
The Times saying Lampard is in the frame as well as Scot Parker and Craig Bellamy, no mention of Liam as present.
The first week is usually testing and fitness work, so they could be back for the last week of June, do the week with the fitness coach ready for TW to come in the 1st July. There again, officially he will start 1st July, but maybe he will come in a week early to oversea things.
