So 120 business lightweights sent a letter to The Times proclaiming their support for Labour’s “change through stability”. Just what is ‘change through stability’? Surely stability means nothing changing very much at all with everything stable. We have low growth, low productivity and a bloated inefficient state – all of which will continue under Labour. Only the faces will change, not the incompetence. Those business people may not be so keen on Labour once the Left has repealed all the employment legislation that the unions want to see gone. They will be back to the 1970s. The CEOs of the FTSE 100 are keeping quiet as they make most of their money overseas, where they will be looking to invest and expand.
Soon the dissent and division of the Conservative Party will become apparent in the Labour Party. Comrade Corbyn is already standing as an Independent as is Claudia Webbe in Leicester. Diane Abbott has had the whip restored but Starmer does not want her. He has too many loonies in his Shadow Cabinet without keeping Corbyn’s old squeeze on in London. Then he had to do another U-turn and say she can stand. So she will be free to vote against him often like she did every leader except Corbyn. Starmer knows that his lead in the polls is slipping. He has his loony Deputy going around mosques pleading with Muslim men to vote Labour with their own votes and those of the women that they own. They need all those postal votes: Zarah Sultana in Coventry South only has a majority of 401 despite 7,348 postal votes.
On the campaign trail, neither the Conservatives nor Labour have any positive policies to offer. Both are just saying how bad the other will be after July the Fifth. It is a choice of the lesser of two evils. We can be sure that Parliament will be Clowns to the Left of us, Jokers to the Right and we will all be stuck in the middle.
