Well, how the good god Bruce has managed to keep ahold of his job up and till now is nothing short of a miracle. He should have gone after the Brighton game really. Not playing a striker, what the ****!? But anyway, I just wanted to test the water with three questions regarding potential new management within your club. Obviously, I know Steve has to go, before any changes. But lets face it, thats a questions of when, not if. 1. Who would be your dream manager? 2. Who would be your idea of a nightmare manager? 3. Who do reckon will actually get the job?
I wouldn't even wish him upon my mortal enemy. I think you can rest assured he won't take charge though. His crediablity has taken another knock with Forest
Haha. The only positive contribution mclaren has ever made is to the comedy world with the shhteeeve mclaren clip on you tube where he talks English with a Dutch accent. One of the funniest and most tragic things I have ever seen!
Brucie was 4/1 before the weekend with Paddy Power, gutted. O'Neill is the clear favourite with the bookmakers who have opened up the odds. William Hill and Stan James are offering 1/2 on O'Neill with Benitez being his closest competitor on 8/1, Hughes out at 10/1. There is one worth having a few quid on though, Mr Sam Allardyce is out at 40/1 at the minute. Proven track record of getting clubs out of a mess. O'Neill for me is unlikely, he'll ask for an unrealistic transfer budget. Hughes is the one I'd assume will take the role, but I'd like to throw one last name into the hat, one that I'd love to manage in the Premier League on a personal level. Ole Gunnar Solskjear Won Norweigen Premier League at the first time of asking, plus he'd be a fantastic striker coach for your youths. Would you be happy with OGS?
Can't think of a better role model to help Wickham, and Ji to find their feet. Would be a good choice you guys imo. Esepcially considering he has managed to win a Domestic Competition so early in his managerial career.
Haha I take it Big Sam isn't going to go down too well then? I can see your point, he's got his uses but that's not what you're looking for I suppose. Maybe if he was unemployed he'd do a good job until the end of the season. Solskjear won the Norwegian Tippenli..Premier League in his first attempt, a trophy that his club Molde have never previously won, so it's not like he went to manage Rangers or Celtic. In my opinion I couldn't wish for a better person to succeed Sir Alex, but he won't get that job without more experience at a higher level, so I'm hoping dearly that he gets a job in the Premier League soon.
Big Sam would be worse than Brucie! Cant imagine many of you lads would be happy with him either. Considering this ties us. Obviously, aswell down to the fact he's an arrogant, tosser.
Will MoN (should he be next manager) actually get the financial backing, after the large sums that have been spent? I cannot see him joining any club without a large 'warchest' to help him along. I'm split on wanting Bruce sacked mind, if he does, I'm £70 up but he doesn't drag Sunderland down any further, but if he keeps his job, no £70 but Sunderland dragged further down.
As said, Bookies going 1/2 MON. Thats as good as a horse having jumped the last fence in a 2 horse race and the other horse fell at the first. Looks like it will happen. At some point.
1 Marco Van Basten (great role model for Ji and Wickham, and quite a good manager to boot). 2: Lee Clark (more for the fact i dont think he is ready than the T-Shirt thing) 3: Steve Bruce isnt going to get sacked. (but probably MON if he does)
Bit early for him yet, but looks like he has a bright future, and comes with high praise from SAF.. But wasn't he given financial clout also, in what is not a strong league..not knocking him, maybe one day he'll be in the prem..just not yet.
It wouldnt be the right time for him to manage us and I would hate to see him come here and fail. I agree though, he could have a great future ahead of him.
