So as expected it's "subject to a visa" so what was the hold up? Not the visa, as that's still pending.
Not really but in the wider picture its yet another thing thats taken a long long time for us. Transfers, releasing new kits all seem to take an age with us. There may by good/legitimate reasons for all of this but 'lots of moving parts' which some like to say doesn't cut it because there are so many examples of things getting done quicker across the footballing world.
What's it matter how it's done at other clubs? If it's done right and we get what we need for our club, does the time frame really matter?
Not saying it doesn’t take a long time for our stuff to be completed/announced but as long as it gets done I just don’t get why people are bothered. Guess with nothing else to talk about adds to it but even then, not sure why it matters.
It doesn't overly bother me, I was just curious because Acun said he wanted the appointment done within a week or so of Liam's sacking and it took considerably longer. Not much more to it than that.
Maybe it does matter, maybe it doesn't. Not sure too many are overly bothered but there is a trend and so it's a fair question to ask.
Did he skydive from 20k feet over the city, then open his parachute, which happened to be a CITY flag, above the MKM, before gliding effortlessly onto the centre spot, to be greeted by 500 local schoolchildren and the management? If not, I'm disappointed. Arrivals ain't what they used to be.
Don't you think it's just that you find out something is in the offing at other clubs later in the process than we do our own? Like the nationals only really carried the Walter story this week, though it's been anticipated locally much longer.
Considering Norwich and Bayern approached managers after us, no I don't think it's just noticing things later. Norwich had an entire play off campaign and then sacked their manager and appointed theirs before us. Ultimately it wouldn't matter if Acun didn't continue to leak names and set expectations but he does so oh well.
