But…but…but..Hull is better than anywhere else. You will have the usual ones, a lot of who choose to live elsewhere, accusing you of hating Hull and doing it down.

Kalman as a teacher it's highly concerning that you were confronted over your use of the word ****** the other week and then doubled down on it. And now in this thread are ignoring the fact that some are suggesting you lack empathy. A bit of introspection wouldn't go astray.

I'm not quite sure what you mean by this (alarming as it is) but I don't think you've understood the point of my post. Never mind.

What do you want me to say? You’re highly concerned over what exactly?

Your influence on the next generation of kids. That concern isn't alleviated by you viewing your role in influencing and shaping the minds of tomorrow as merely 'a job that pays'. If that's all you're interested in go work in an accounting firm with Pete and talk about his hair cuts every month.

Chazz I'm not saying he needs to act on here the way he does at work I'm talking about his mindset and emotional intelligence which is somewhat required in a role like his. I say that as someone married to a school teacher seeing the emotional strength and maturity required for the role. The fact he just sees it as a pay cheque doesn't help things. If he just wants to cash a cheque and not invest in his work there's plenty of other sectors in society for that.

Which he doubled down on when challenged by someone offended by it. That's not off the cuff. I'm not quite sure why you're trying to excuse it.

I might. The cons of teaching outweigh the pros by the day. I’m waiting for Acun to call me about the Head of Recruitment role though.

If you think all teachers are selfless saints who never say anything offensive or not PC and that teachers don’t have a low opinion of some parents, I’ve a bridge to sell you. And if you think most are doing it out of the kindest of their hearts and not because it’s a job that pays the bills like any other, I’ve a bigger bridge to sell you.

I will apologise for my use of the word ****** and I apologise to @dennisboothstash directly as well.

You really are a pompous, condescending prick, aren’t you?

I don’t need your, or anyone else’s sympathy. Had good, hardworking parents who managed to have a child without being “advised” by people who had not had kid themselves. Had no Attachment problems. And not a single Attachment injury ( do you get compo or benefits like you do for other injuries?).
Have a wife who gave up smoking and drinking during both pregnancies. In fact after that even decades later she only ever has a couple of drinks as they affect her when before she could keep up with me and my mates. Therefore my kids have no Attachment problems or injuries and neither do my grandkids.

I am more concerned about the next generation being influenced by those who despise this country and its traditions and fill their heads full of woke nonsense instead of just teaching them the subjects they are there to study.

For someone supposed to be educating children you seem rather uneducated and opinionated, to a point of being offensive, just because you have been to university does not mean you know everything and get to look down on others. . .

It can already be difficult to raise and support children with additional needs it's the fight against people like you who make it even harder

Nice of you to edit in an apology though. A week late is better than never, so that is appreciated.

If it was such a vocation then some teachers would not spend so much time agitating about pay and conditions.
