Technically it would and if the position was immediately refilled and you felt you were misled about the reasons for redundancy, then you could file for unfair dismissal, but its rare for people to take voluntary redundancy and then take action against the employer.

It's not allowed and they've no intention of changing anything anyway, they'll just be a minority owner and main shirt sponsor.
Fairly sure it was a rule before our proposed name change, which is why the FA was in a quandary and took a fair while to make a decision. If you see what I mean.
There was already a rule about changing a name, but after our debacle, they extended it to also cover home shirt colours and badges (you now need proof that the majority of fans approve of the change before it can be considered).
