got no chance now... According to The People, Sunderland manager Steve Bruce is planning on making a triple swoop in the January transfer window. The report suggests that Bayern Munich's Danijel Pranjic and French strikers Loic Remy and Nolan Roux are all targets for the Black Cats boss when the transfer window opens. Croatian international Pranjic would be available for free in the summer but The People understands that the midfielder would be available for a nominal fee in January. It has also been implied that Frenchman Remy would love the opportunity to play in the Barclays Premier League. The report concludes, implying that 23 year-old striker Roux has been getting watched by Sunderland scouts for a number of weeks now
Had he 'swooped' for these types of players in the summer instead of blowin g the buget on Ji and Wickham 9who is going to be a cracking player btw but just not ready for the tasks we had in mind now) then the likelyhood is Bruce wouldnt be in this trouble right now. He will have to reflect on the calamitous decisions to sell Bent and allow Gyan to go on loan when both were under contract and not replace either of them. His unashamed arrogance in thinking that Sessegnon, Richardson or Uncle Tom Cobbley could be transformed into a goal machine, has been the one huge, costly error on hios behalf he cannot recover from. I dont want him to have another transfer window. He has had 5 now and we are no further forward as a club, in fact it could be argued we have gone backwards not forwards. Bruce has been the architect of his own downfall but I still think if he goes he will find enough other reasons and people to balme other than himself.
hope so pal and hopefully targets which offer pace, creativity and goals those 3 things are what we seriously need to add to our side
