Got mine a few weeks ago. Got the OAP discount for the first time …. sorta happy with that & slightly sad
Haha, my dad is eligible for that for the first time this year. Although he struggles to make all the games due to other commitments and distance to travel etc. For the sake of £50 discount, he'd rather purchase an adult ticket so that he can pass it on to my brother without any issues at the ground.
Just FYI a few seasons back my Dad couldn't make it to the majority of games due to health issues and he had an OAP season ticket and I went to the games instead with his ticket and never had any problems!
Clearly a price increase is never welcome, but we had five years of prize freezes, followed by a decrease when we got relegated. Hardly surprising it's increased. They are also committed to investing in other improvements at the stadium, so depending on what that's like, the matchday experience should improve too.
Ah yeah, I am sure it would be fine 99% of the time and nobody would bat an eyelid but you just know that there's always that one jobsworth... Also sometimes my old man misses quite a chunk of the season so I guess the club could feel like it was taking the piss a bit in that instance.
I take it the re-sale demand just isn’t there for Saints? Tempted to buy a couple of season tickets with no intention of ever going, but means I can get to some away games.
Yeah I do understand that where it's not a huge saving it might not be worth it for the peace of mind. Don't think it would ever really crop up unless you had an issue with the turnstiles letting you in, which I guess with the app being the new thing next season is probably more likely!
Yeah every game that sells out can go on to ticket exchange and then depends if they sell or not - if you had two together I suspect they would most times. We averaged 29k this season so you'd expect lots of games to sell out this season so may be worthwhile. Obviously it might drop off as season goes on if we're getting battered. Not a bad idea actually... Edit - there might be a limit on how many you can sell back thinking about it.
Few mates of mine do it for their respective teams. Granted a few is just because the waiting list is so long for season tickets they just keep renewing despite never going to stay on the list/get away games. Sell the ticket at cost price per game and doesn’t cost them much. They manage to sell every game though, dunno if we will and I’ll end up £1000 down or something on the tickets
But would I be correct in saying that you can't take that back as cash? I think you may only be able to use it against the purchase of other tickets
Yep good point. Can only be used on home tickets or store merchandise as well so couldn't use it for away matches.
Yeah I wouldn’t be selling it on the official Saints exchange, Stubhub or something like that I think it’s called where you can buy tickets
Yeah that’s what I thought, sure everyone will be queuing up for Saints v Brentford at 1pm on a Saturday
Why not? Sounds like it's the ticketing distribution system that's being changed, not the purchasing portal. (which appears to be the same as it has been for several years) I could of course be wrong if a new ticketing system comes in. I'm basing that off it still being the same as it was for the Wembley ****show where people purchasing for children were made to pay for adult tickets etc.
Nah you can, at least with other clubs anyway. Just transfer on some app if both of you have it. Anyway I don’t think I’ll do it
